Porn star Olivia Nova, who rose to fame in the adult film industry in just a matter of months, has died at the young age of 20.
The Minnesota native was found dead in Las Vegas on January 7.
The cause of death is still not known, her agency, LA Direct Models, said in a statement released Monday.
On Christmas, Nova posted on Twitter that she was spending the holidays alone. The post said she wanted to 'give a fan a call' to 'lift my spirits'.
Nova's death comes less than a year after her boyfriend committed suicide. In a tweet earlier in December, she said he killed himself two days before her birthday in April.

'While only represented by Direct Models for a short period of time, we came to know Olivia as a beautiful girl with a very sweet and gentle personality,' LA Direct Models said, according to XBIZ. com.
'It is understood next of kin have been informed,' they added. 'Another one, way too young we are beyond shocked and most certainly, completely out of the blue. Rest in peace, sweet angel.'
Derek Hay, owner of LA Direct Models which signed Nova just before Christmas, described her as a 'sweet, mild-mannered girl'.
'It's very very sudden, she was really a sweet, mild mannered girl, we're very saddened by her death, she was only 20,' he told DailyMail.com.
'We had no inclination of any problems with her at all. I've spoken to a couple of friends of Olivia's and I have spoken to the coroner's office and her death is a mystery. Suicide isn't suspected and it doesn't seem anyone else was involved.
'Somebody must have been with her in the hours that preceded her death and if that person emerges we may learn more, but the death is not considered suspicious. There will be a post mortem but we won't get the results for six to eight weeks.'

Hay said Olivia - whose real first name is Alexis - had only been signed up to LA Direct Models for two months and she had been in the porn industry for just a year.
'We sent her to shoot in Prague and Paris which she completed, returning from that trip just a few days prior to Christmas. I have been speaking to Olivia regularly, she lives in Vegas, my office is in Vegas. She wanted to move from one agency to my own and we met several times to discuss the possibility of doing that.'
Hay says Nova died at a private residence in Vegas but not her own place and there was indication she was depressed despite tweeting she was spending the holidays alone.
He said the death - the fourth in porn in recent months - has rocked the industry.
'We're keenly aware, this is the fourth death in the porn industry in the past three months, it's incredible,' he said.
In an August interview with photographer Dave Naz, Nova said that she was shaking with nerves the first time she stripped for a project. But she said she was comfortable 'within seconds'.
She also said she had aspirations outside of the industry.
When asked where she saw herself in 10 years time, she said she planned on graduating school.
'I also have this huge project, it's non profit, that I want to be a part of,' Nova added.
Nova is the fourth porn star to die in recent months. August Ames, 23, committed suicide on December 6 while Turi Luv died in August from a drug overdose.
Shyla Stylez, 35, died in November and her cause of death is still unknown.

The 'Marilyn Monroe of television' Joi Lansing had a secret affair with a woman who she pretended to the public was her sister, it has been claimed.
Alexis Hunter, now 70, who wrote a book about Lansing in 2015, claims she developed a romantic bond with the film and TV star before she passed away in 1972 at the age of 44 from cancer.
Hunter claims they hid their secret fling in plain sight, pretending she was Rachel Lansing - Joi's beloved sister - so they could continue their relationship in secret.

'She sat right next to me as they did her hair and makeup. And she was so sweet. She didn't take herself seriously,' Hunter told Fox News . 'She was just like anybody. She just happened to be exquisite.
'She was the Marilyn Monroe of television,' 'She did tons and tons of TV shows. And at that time, there were only three stations. She was on all the time.'
In the same year, Hunter had started working as a go-go dancer at a local nightclub and invited Lansing to stop by to watch one of her performances.

Hunter claims Lansing, who would've turned 91 tomorrow, arrived 'dressed to the nines' and watched some of the dancing before calling her down from the stage and whispering in her ear: ‘You don’t belong here, let’s get out of here.’
The author claims the pair went back to Lansing's home and listened to music before the TV star kissed Hunter out of the blue.
Hunter alleged the two women headed over to Lansing’s place, where they happily listened to music. That’s when she claimed they became more than friends.
'It shocked me because Joi was straight. But it was just one of those magical things that happened,' Hunter told Fox News.

'She had been married three times, had numerous affairs and always loved men. But there was some magic that happened between the two of us.'
Hunter claims she went on to have a secret romantic relationship with Lansing from 1969 until her death in 1972.
At the time, Lansing was married to her third husband, business manager Stan Todd. The couple were together when she passed in '72.
Hunter said they kept the relationship under wraps because 'if anyone had known in Hollywood about our relationship, that would have destroyed her career'.
They lied to the press, telling them Hunter was Rachel Lansing, the actress’ beloved sister.

Remember that time Ashley Graham told us that while she wasn't afraid to pose nude, she wouldn't show "nip and bush" ? Seems like our former SI Swimsuit cover model has changed her stance on being photographed naked, and we definitely don't mind.
In an extremely revealing shoot for V Magazine , Ashley poses completely nude and opens up even more about her struggles with body image and how she learned to love herself early on in life.
"I think I hit bottom around 18," Ashley told Tracee Ellis Ross for V Magazine . "I was disgusted with myself and told my mom I was coming home [from New York]. And she told me, 'No, you’re not, because you told me that [modeling] was what you wanted and I know you’re supposed to do this. It doesn’t matter what you think about your body, because your body is supposed to change somebody’s life.' To this day that sticks with me because I’m here today and I feel that it’s okay to have cellulite."
The body advocate, and "new queen" of the fashion industry went on to reveal that she has two role models, one of which is a member of our own SI Swimsuit family.
"Today, I have two role models," Ashley explained. "One of them is my mom. Just seeing how happy she has been going through [life] and how she’s handled every curve ball is like, 'That’s a woman who has integrity and dignity and has been kind and generous to people around her.' Business-wise, it’s Kathy Ireland . She’s OG. When she was younger and in Sports Illustrated she was like, 'I’m going to sell some socks and make a business.' Now she has a billion-dollar company. Kathy Ireland, if you’re out there, I’m still trying to be your best friend. You’re on my vision board."

A 16-year-old girl took the witness stand Friday to give an emotional eyewitness account of the brutal stabbings that killed her mother and brother less than a month ago.
Alexis Taylor wept at several points during her testimony, but her account was clear and specific. Chilling details of the bloody attack brought several in the courtroom to tears.
She recalled waking up early on the morning of Oct. 7 as an attacker kicked in her door. She remembered him bursting through the doorway and striking her with a butcher knife.
