Was booked in swiftly for breakfast the day of visiting and was seated in a very pleasant restaurant. We both ordered full English breakfasts, of which were poor. Most of the food was cold. The poached eggs were solid. Had to send back. Beans were... hot but that was it. Disappointing and expensive experience. Coffee was the only pleasant thing served. More
We had lunch at 2.00pm to avoid the midday rush & the chefs were "at ease" ready for our order. I had my usual lightly battered fish chips & mushy peas, & the bread was "almost" completely buttered.... absolutely superb..a simple dish however few can... get it right, Alberts do...Also the WILD MUSHROOM & MASCARPONE STUFFED CHICKEN, to be critical, the chicken was just a tad dry, however the lovely sauce saved it, the long stem broccoli was totally "not cooked" (it seems to be the latest "TV Chefy" method to serve veg very al dente..? ) The DAUPHINOISE POTATOES..( sliced potatoes baked with cream, garlic and parmesan), where a credit to the Chef, perfection. Can’t fault the ambiance of this place and, contrary to some reviews here, the staff were excellent. However we always judge a restaurant by the food, and this is where you lost stars.

I ordered the roast beef, which was so chewy I left most... of it. (I was surprised actually that I wasn’t asked about it when the plates were cleared). The roast potatoes were very poor - they had flavour to them that reminded me of Aunt Bessie’s which made me wonder if they were, in fact, frozen. The veg was well cooked, but the Yorkshire pudding was ‘old’ and dry.

My sister and brother in law ordered the Malayan curry, and were very disappointed at the size of the portions. Really, you expect a decent portion at Sunday lunch when you’re paying so much.

Another sister had the pork and said it was delicious. So, 1 out of 4.

Desserts were very good - the peaches especially.

The lady on an adjoining table sent her roast beef back, and had to ask twice where it was. As it was, her husband had finished his lunch before hers was returned.

Such a shame as the setting is beautiful. I’ve looked through reviews and these issues have been mentioned before, so can only assume the management didn’t take heed?

Where I live, we have a small Italian restaurant that does phenomenal Sunday roasts. Be like them. More
I was staying in the hotel next to the restaurant, so decided to book for an evening meal. All the staff were attentive, polite and friendly, made me feel very welcome.

The meal was delicious and reasonably priced. A good choice of wine, and nice... to be able to sit a the bar after the meal to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening.

If I visit the area again, would definitely return. More
4 adults and a child. visited on a very hot day so ate inside. Service was very good, but we choose to eat late afternoon so was a little less busy. The food was very good i had Sirloin steak it was excellent. All plates were... cleared. would recommend. More
I haven’t been for a couple of years so was looking forward to returning by what Really poor service we had!
Left for ages without taking our drink order - another half an hour plus before food order was taken then nearly an hour before... starters arrived!
The food was bland and nowhere near as nice as I remembered from my last visit and the icing on the cake was the desert- I ordered a warm chocolate pudding with a gooey chocolate fondant centre served with pistachio ice cream - it was frozen all the way through hadn’t been warmed up at all - literally out of the freezer and on to my plate and served.
When a staff member came back to collect desserts I took the opportunity to tell them it hadn’t been cooked - her reply ‘ok I won’t charge you for it then’
No apology or offer to replace it with a warm one!
Nobody noticed us leave nobody ever asked was the food ok -
I emailed the restaurant when I got home with the above points and later received a reply offering us a free house bottle of wine when we returned.
Needless to say we won’t ever go again! More

Have to say my visit to on Saturday with my mum to this restaurant left me feeling very disappointed. The food, when it came was very nice, but the front of house service was just woeful.
Apparently they don't do lunch until 12.30. We arrived... at 12.00. When I asked could we be seated and just have a drink until lunch could be ordered, I was met with a cold icy stare, that essentially meant, would you just (insert expletive) off.
Calculating her response, as she looked at a near empty restaurant, thinking i cant use the, you don't have a reservation excuse, I got the response, "suppose!"
My mother and I were seated. Then not offered the opportunity to order drinks.
The manager, walked around with a swagger of ambivalence and nonchalance with his shirt open, imagine medallion man.
The front of house team gathered at the front gossiping. Only one girl who was run off her feet seemed to be bothered about serving us to take our drinks order.
Our tea and coffee arrived. We sat for another 15 minutes till 12.30 and were then able to order. I had a steak and my mum had fish and chips brought to us by the one waitress who could be bothered.
The rest of the team seemed to be still gossiping, but medallion man was now chatting up his own staff.
After finishing our food, we had to wait for at least 10 more minutes and then had to signal to a waitress to get our plates removed.
I explained we had finished our food, but asked if they did an Eton mess for dessert. She said, "no, but we have a raspberry tart which was similar".
I politely declined and then expecting her to take our plates, I was surprised when she just walked off.
I asked for the bill and then they took the plates.
Quite frankly this place needs some proper front of house training because they were really poor.
They had one good waitress and my mum slipped her a monetary note as we left telling her it was just for her and no one else.
Hope this helps others if deciding for somewhere to go in Worsley area of Manchester. More
Hello Terry and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I would like to start by offering a massive apology, as your experience was evidentially not up to the standards that we strive for. I will be doing some investigating... More
Albert's provided a very good venue for our family's Sunday lunch on a sunny afternoon.
Our starters included the chilli and garlic prawns, duck satay and Fritto Misto, followed by roast beef and roast pork mains, all of which were very tasty and well presented.... Although our starters and mains were filling, we did find room for very enjoyable desserts which included the chocolate volcano, sticky toffee pudding and cherry and almond frangipane tart.
Whilst it was a first visit for most of our group we all agreed that it won't be our last. More
Thank you for taking the time to leave a great review!
Was a little worried as this was mum’s first trip out in her wheelchair for a meal. But my nerves were soon calmed when the server , a red haired lady who I failed to catch her name. Helped in every way to make the... outing a success ( many thanks your a superstar).
Chose the lunchtime 2courses for £14-50 menu and wasn’t disappointed, good food at a reasonable price . Although a splash of balsamic dressing over my bruschetta would have enhanced a good starter.
So all in all a very pleasant meal in great surroundings , the staff are a real credit to the business. THANKS More
Thanks for a great review David. I believe your server was Lee-Ann and I will let her know your enjoyed her service.
Lovely food & a great server Lee-Ann. Food was very nice a cheese burger & sweet potato fries were tasty. Sticky toffee pudding a big piece & vanilla ice cream was gorgeous.
Thanks for the review Alex! I will let Lee-Ann know of your review.
Thank you to MARCIN for looking after us! Great food and ability to move in and out of the sun. Will return soon!
Thanks for a great review! I will let Marcin know of your kind comments.
We have always had excellent meals/service at Albert’s and so when we needed to choose a venue for my father’s wake we had no hesitation in booking the small function room. From the very start we received excellent, efficient service from the Events Coordinator (Callum).... Today we were delighted with the buffet - plentiful, delicious and beautifully presented. Our host, Roxy, made sure everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much to everyone for making a sad occasion as enjoyable as possible. More
Thank you for taking the time to review. Its great to hear the team did their best to try and make the day enjoyable. I will let Roxi, Callum and the team know of your kind comments.
Served by the lovely Lee - Ann.
Service with a smile a good humour as always.

Food and ambience just lush
Thanks for a great review Michelle! I will pass your comments onto Lee-Ann.
We were served by Lauren initially. Unfortunately she finished her shift before we finished our meal so we were unable to thank her for her attentiveness. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
As for the meal, we selected from the pre 5pm menu. 2... courses for £14.50. Cannot fault the meal. Finished my meal with the sticky toffee pudding. A favourite pudding for me and the one at Alberts is one of the best I’ve ever had.
We enjoyed the meal so much that we have booked to go again tomorrow 15th July in the evening.
Great venue, love the decor and ambience, cannot praise the staff and meal enough. More
Thanks for a great review Neil! I will let Lauryn know you enjoyed her service.
Another excellent meal and great service at Alberts Worsley!

Such a great place for drinks and food in well maintained surroundings,

There’s lots of different age groups which makes for a vibrant atmosphere.

Well done Alberts..

The royal twins of Monaco turn 6 on Thursday — and their dad, Prince Albert , is spilling all their fun party details.

In years past, the little royals' birthday has been celebrated with a safari theme , mechanical polar bear expeditions and cartoon superheroes at the Palace, sharing cake and bouncy castles with all their classmates.

This year, however, the celebrations will be different amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Prince Albert says social distancing and downsized public events are in store for the twins, who will have one scheduled public birthday appearance with a slightly delayed, more intimate celebration at home.

"Their birthday falls on a school day, on a half-day in fact, so our plan is not to have their party that day," Albert tells PEOPLE. Instead, the pair will attend a scheduled outdoor event — "the christening of our new Maritime Police boat, the Princess Gabriella," he says.

"That should be kind of fun for them," the proud dad says. "Gabriella — she's a pistol, I'll tell you! She's already got a great little sense of humor, sense of showmanship. She's the godmother of that vessel, so she'll preside over the launch ceremony. That should be fun."

"I don't think she's going to actually break a real bottle of champagne across the bow," the son of American princess Grace Kelly adds with a laugh. "She's going to cut a ribbon, for sure, but I have no idea how they'll arrange the traditional bottle christening aspect."

"I've been assured, that there is a way that there won't be any broken glass anywhere near the kids," the concerned dad says.

On Saturday, mom Princess Charlene has a fun afternoon planned for the kids (birthday cake and candles included!) at Roc Agel , the family compound overlooking Monaco.

"With a limited amount of other children," Albert stresses, "and I emphasize the word 'limited' because they'll be people saying, 'How come they can have a party and our kids can't have group activities?' "
