TOULOUSE, France – The final Airbus A380, the colossal double-decker jetliner that redefined air travel, has been delivered to its launch customer, Emirates, bringing an official close to an extraordinary chapter in aviation history. This milestone delivery signifies the definitive end of production for the world's largest passenger aircraft, a project that once symbolized ambition but ultimately succumbed to shifting market forces.

Dubbed the 'Superjumbo,' the A380 first took to the skies in 2005, promising a new era of luxury travel and unprecedented capacity. Its sheer size, capable of carrying over 850 passengers in a typical configuration, captured global imagination. Airlines initially embraced it, deploying it on prestigious long-haul routes between major hubs. However, the operational reality proved challenging.
