AirMesh Surveyor: Privacy and Support

Dmytro Drozd

Effective September 15, 2026. AirMesh Surveyor is a network diagnostics and survey notebook app by Dmytro Drozd.

Privacy policy

The native diagnostics and survey tools do not require an account. Diagnostic results, manually entered measurements, Wi-Fi identifiers and motion readings are not attached to requests to our routing service.

Routing and embedded content

Every cold launch contacts the Keitaro campaign through bimix.cc, including installations with a previously saved destination. The routing service receives ordinary connection information, including the public IP address, request time and HTTP headers; click collection is enabled. Routing records can include approximate location derived from the IP address and generated visit identifiers. These records are used only for app functionality, not advertising or tracking across services. The app does not add an advertising identifier, device serial number, Wi-Fi identifiers, survey entries or diagnostic history to this request. The retention period for routing logs is still awaiting confirmation; no fixed duration is stated here.

The latest campaign result determines the launch destination. URLs recorded in local preferences are not used to choose the next launch or as an offline fallback. Home uses the current browser session's first successful destination. No usable campaign result, an explicit native response, HTTP 404 or a failed or timed-out resolution opens native tools. Browser setup failure can also open native tools. Once the browser is set up, page-load errors stay in the browser rather than opening native tools, and failed destinations are not saved. Returning from the background continues the current session without a new campaign request. There is no always-available native-mode button.

Embedded pages can receive the browser's connection information and use cookies or local storage. Information you enter into a page is handled by that page's operator. The currently configured destination is Google, whose privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. The native tools' local-data protections do not prevent data processing by external pages. Contact us about routing records or deletion requests using the support address below.

Browser cookies

Accepted cookies from HTTP responses during campaign resolution, and supported cookie records in campaign responses, are imported before the browser's first load. On iOS, the app uses WKWebView's native cookie store, including HttpOnly cookies that page scripts cannot read. An app-specific Keychain snapshot preserves supported cookie values, domains, paths, expiry and security attributes between launches. The snapshot is device-only, is not synchronized through iCloud Keychain, and becomes accessible after the device's first unlock. Cookies may identify a browser session to the relevant website; they are not diagnostic results. External pages manage their own data and cookies under their privacy policies.

Information on your device

The app displays available connection details, such as network name, BSSID, local IP address and gateway. Saved diagnostic history and measurements you enter remain on your device. They may be included in backups managed by your operating system. Example surveys are clearly labelled and are not measurements of nearby networks.

Network checks

When you run a check, the app resolves your chosen hostname and makes a small number of TCP connections to the chosen server and port. The server and your network or DNS provider can receive the connection information needed for this, including your IP address. The default target is www.apple.com on port 443. Your saved surveys are not sent with these checks.

Permissions

On iPhone and iPad, location permission is used only to obtain the name and identifier of the connected Wi-Fi network when available. The app does not record geographic coordinates. Local network permission enables checks to local addresses you select. Motion readings animate the interface and are not stored or transmitted. You can change permissions in system Settings.

Export and deletion

Exports are shared only when you choose a destination in the system share sheet. That destination handles the exported file under its own terms. You can remove saved history and individual survey measurements in the app. Deleting the app removes its app-container data, but cannot guarantee immediate deletion of its Keychain cookie snapshot. On the next fresh launch without the app-local install marker, the app clears only its own prior Keychain cookie snapshots before cookie operations. If cleanup fails, those operations remain blocked until cleanup succeeds. This cleanup happens at a subsequent launch, not at uninstall. Previously exported files, operating-system backups and records held by external services are managed separately.

Support and external services

If you contact us by email, we use the information you provide to answer your request. Email providers, embedded destinations, diagnostic destinations and Telegraph operate under their own privacy policies. We will update this page if the app's data practices change.

Support

For help or a privacy request, email drozd229017@gmail.com. Include your device model, iOS version and a short description of the issue.

AirMesh Surveyor checks your current connection and records measurements you enter. It does not scan neighboring Wi-Fi networks on iPhone or iPad. DNS and TCP timings are diagnostic measurements, not a download-speed test.
