Ai Mizuno is one of the main characters from the Zombieland Saga anime.
The legendary lead singer of Iron Frill, the top idol group of the 2000s, which Sakura idolized in life. A serious and strong-willed girl, she's initially skeptical of Kotarou's plan, but eventually dives whole-heartedly into the role and puts all her effort into building Franchouchou's legend. As the most experienced (current-era) idol of the group, Ai is effectively the team manager, planning out the group's choreography and roles with occasional input from the others.
In the XP4 fics, Ai made her debut in XP4 Heroes Coalition - Welcome to Herowood.
In the AWA fics, Ai is a student at the AWA Academy.
In the TWA fics, Ai debuted in the Twisted World Animania - Zombieland Saga.
Ai has short, dark, slate blue hair with two yellow flower clips. Her bangs are bunched together, and she has light red eyes. Like the other zombies, her skin is a greyish-blue and red eyes, and most of her body is covered in bandages some what like a mummy.
Her casual outfit consists of an Idol-like school outfit: a navy-blue jacket over a pale yellow top with a blue plaid skirt and bow. She also wears dark grey socks and light brown school-shoes. As a Idol, Ai has a light sky-blue shirt with "3" written on it, wears a turquoise skirt, and has more flowers in her hair.
When alive, Ai demonstrated a cheerful and determined personality, but after becoming a Zombie she became rather skeptical and suspicious. As she gradually begins to warm up to her group, she begins to act like her old self again. She has shown a supportive side and great patience when aiding the other members with her idol experience. Because of how she died, she was afraid of lightning. When she got stuck by lighting again and comes out unharmed, along with a successful performance with Franchouchou at Saga Rock, she appears to have overcome her trauma.
Ai Mizuno attends Vanguard Academy as a student.
In Chapter 3, Ai Mizuno alongside the rest of Franchouchou arrives in Herowood at the RoosterTeeth Hotel where they nearly witnessed Koutarou Tatsumi getting punched by Kenji Harima. After that Koutarou told them that their performing at the Royal Musical Gala. Later, she witnessed Tae Yamada attacking Yosuke Hanamura for his sandwich and to her relief, Yosuke decided to brush things off.
In Chapter 5, Ai alongside the rest of Franchouchou are seen walking around at Triple X where she witness Tae chasing Chicken and later meeting Sayaka Maizono and Koito Minase. She also commented on how Saki Nikaidou brutally rejected Eddy Skipper McGee's advances and after that, Koutarou Tatsumi told them that they'll be performing in a cafe that night.
In Chapter 6, Ai is seen alongside Saki Nikaidou, Yuugiri and Tae Yamada in the dining area of their hotel and witnessed Eddy Skipper McGee running away crying upon seeing Saki.
In Chapter 7, Ai alongside the rest of Franchouchou and Koutarou Tatsumi are seen at the backstage of a bar called Bruno's that night. After performing Mezame RETURNER , Ai and the others watches Muse performs on stage. Later that night, an accident occurred thanks to Natsu Dragneel where he accidentally turning the sprinkles on, washing away Franchouchou's make up, revealing their zombie appearance before running off at the back alley before anyone could discover their secrets. However, upon arriving at the back alley, they were confronted by Mahiru Koizumi and told them that she's aware of them being zombies.
In Chapter 8, Ai alongside the rest of Franchouchou stares at Mahiru in fear but fortunately for them, Mario Martinez and Koutarou Tatsumi arrives and reassures Mahiru that girls meant no harm, much to their relief. Later that morning, Ai alongside Sakura Minamoto and Junko Konno are seen having a conversation with Air, Fal, Luna, Acacia Greene, Erika Kurumi and Nowi at the dining area in their hotel.
In Chapter 10, Ai alongside Sakura Minamoto and Saki Nikaidou are seen walking around at the Multiverse's Crossroads where they came across Kenji Harima. Sakura then asks about Kenji's relationship with Koutarou Tatsumi and he told them that he is aware of them being zombies and was against of Koutarou turning them into zombies. He then reassures them that their secret is safe but he still doesn't approve what Koutarou has done to them.
In Chapter 11, Ai alongside the rest of Franchouchou and Koutarou Tatsumi met up with Muse at the stadium where the Royal Musical Gala is being held.
In Chapter 12, Ai alongside the rest of Franchouchou performed Adabana Necromancy at the Royal Musical Gala.
In the epilogue, Ai alongside the rest of Franchouchou and Koutarou Tatsumi met up with DJ Alligator in the lobby of their hotel where they signed a deal with him and later becoming students at the Vanguard Academy.
In Chapter 54, Ai alongside the rest of Franchouchou doing a free performance at the Shelter.
In Chapter 54, Ai alongside Sakura Minamoto and Kiyotaka Ishimaru are seen chasing after Tae Yamada whom is biting the head of Yosuke Hanamura.
