On the eve of winter, CONVERSION CONF WARM-UP EDITION took place in Kyiv. We couldn’t miss this bright and important event, so now we’re sharing our first-hand impressions! In short, we liked it. For more details, read and look at the photos below.
We could start with a description of the space, design ideas and other organizational aspects. But everyone knows perfectly well that the conference is ultimately determined not by this, but by the atmosphere. This is the first and most important thing that is remembered. So, the holiday atmosphere felt just right. You know, such a slight anticipation of the afterparty even before the start of the official part.
Of course, this was facilitated by stands where you could drink a cocktail in a nightclub setting early in the morning. It’s not surprising that many guests gravitated there!)
We counted 5 bar counters even before entering the conference room! But, despite the temptations of relaxation, harmoniously combined with networking, they did not skip the beginning of the official part.
Speakers and their speeches
The performance schedule was slightly changed, and a little later we found out why. But the first to appear on stage was the Head of the ClickDealer PR Department, Natalya Hologoida.
Natalya shared her experience and statistics in E-commerce, and deservedly boasted about the achievements of her company. There were no unique insights, because everyone who works in sales knows very well that the winter holidays are the most profitable time. But it was very interesting to see the numbers!
The second to take the stage was Roman Chasanovsky from Traffic One. His presentation, based on insights from ONEBOT.TECH, gave a lot of food for thought. Practical questions from the audience immediately confirmed this.
Oleg Vovkodav from Traffic Devils appeared next on stage. He talked about his journey from farmer to team lead and shared his list of key leadership qualities. One of them is discipline. Ironically, Oleg was late for the conference. According to the plan, he was supposed to speak first. But he arrived later, so his and Natalya’s performances were swapped.
However, useful information completely compensated for this nuance. It was interesting to hear about the relationships within the team, and we absolutely agree with most of the points.
And a conclusion that we fully share:
During the performance, there was a very relaxed, literally homely atmosphere on stage and in the auditorium. This also confirms Oleg’s theses.
After a short coffee break, EPIC MEDIA founder Antonio Hourani took the stage. We couldn't miss his performance because it was dedicated to Nutra.
It turned out to be a very structured lecture with logical conclusions and practical advice. Some are straight to the point. For example, about call centers and lead processing.
Lots of useful tips for beginners, plus answers to questions from the audience - it was informative, thank you, Antonio!
Dima Kichaty from TRIDENT MEDIA again raised the inexhaustible and ever-relevant topic of teamwork. But from a special and very precise point of view: about toxic employees in the team. Judging by the reaction of the audience, this story is familiar to everyone.
We must give the speaker his due; he explained the topic in great detail and gave a lot of personal advice, including in response to questions from the audience.
And among the insights, Dima spoke about the importance of soft skills in our field. And this was very nice to hear, because we just recently started a series of articles on this topic. By the way, you can start with this article about watchfulness.
Vadim Volochnyuk (IMPROVE TEAM) spoke next and shared his observations, current experience and iGaming news. Android difficulties are now bothering many people, so it was interesting to hear Vadim’s opinion about Google’s application moderation rules, iOS alternatives and personal experience.
And the official part of the conference was concluded by CRO TRAFFIC SQUAD Misha Burik. He gave step-by-step tips, showed his team's results, and answered many questions from the audience. His performance was a powerful finale, as you can see in the pictures.
After such a loud call, which we support with all our hands, a gift drawing was held on stage. This turned out to be just in time to exhale after an avalanche of useful information and tune in to the afterparty.
Unstoppable fun
In general, the speakers' reports did not disappoint. In the intervals between them, and especially in the evening, our head was already asking for rest. This is not a problem - you could be distracted by games, photo zones, communication with old and new acquaintances, snacks and drinks. Here are a few pictures to give you an impression of the lounge area:
We can say that the celebration, networking, and exchange of experience were a success. This means the conference was a success. We spent this day absolutely not in vain and we are sure that all guests and participants will agree with us!
