The ATLAS (Aero Taper Lock Attachment System) gives the handguard its name and a sleek attachment method. The ATLAS uses 2 mirrored, tapered locking nuts that evenly distribute the clamping force around the barrel nut with a turnbuckle screw. The handguard also features a ratcheting detent, securing the installation and preventing distortion during installation.
