A popular porn star and online gamer says she broke her back after leaping into a foam pit at TwitchCon in San Diego over the weekend.
Adriana Chechik, who streams on Twitch , revealed on Twitter that she suffered a broken back at the foam pit at the gaming convention on Sunday.
“Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today,” Chechik tweeted . “Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now.”
She added : “Special shout out to the random off work EMT who got the workers at the booth to realize how bad I was injured and to make them keep me still and calm me down until others got there. [You really] kept me from crying badly.”
In a video of the incident at TwitchCon, you can hear Chechik, also an adult video star who has won a number of AVN Awards , say, “I can’t get up.”
A little bit later, an announcer appears to reassure that “No, no, she’s fine.”
A few other injuries took place in the foam pit.
A man named Chris Ricks tweeted , “my dumbass fell in after my round and I couldn’t walk most of last night and today the back still hurts.”
There also appeared to be a couple of leg injuries sustained there.
The incidents took place at the Lenovo booth. A spokesperson from the company told Kotaku , “We are aware of the incidents of TwitchCon visitors who sustained injuries in the gladiator game soft foam pit at the Lenovo booth. The area has since been closed for any further use while we work with event organizers to look into the incidents.”

Twitch streamer and porn star Adriana Chechik said she's 'terrified' as she tweeted that she's going in for surgery to have a metal rod inserted into her back after breaking it in two places at TwitchCon this weekend.
Chechik, who has 803,000 followers on the streaming platform, was celebrating a win in a foam pugil stick duel when she jumped into the pit at a Lenovo Legion booth at the TwitchCon event at the San Diego Convention Center over the weekend.
The OnlyFans star tweeted out this morning, 'Terrified about to get surgery right now. Wish me luck!'
Footage showed Chechik, 30, battling it out with her opponent on a three-foot high platform above the foam cubes, each trying to knock the other off-balance in a 'gladiator game.'
Within seconds, the AVN Award Winning performer claimed victory and celebrated with a toe touch before landing in the pit and being unable to get up as panicked onlookers are heard shouting that she landed on her tailbone.
Chechik, who has over 3.8 million Instagram followers and 801,000 followers on Twitch, later posted a photo of herself in a hospital gown late Sunday night with the caption, 'I live here now.'
She had previously updated her fans on Monday that she was able to get her hair washed despite the injuries, writing, 'So I got my hair washed today and holy cow! That was a blessing, the ladies who washed me are seriously my heroes.'

Both Chechik and streamer Loch Vaness were critical of the lack of safety measures taken when both were injured in the foam pit.
Vaness tweeted earlier Tuesday morning, 'Thank you everyone who is being so kind about everything that happened. Your kind words have been helping through all this craziness.'
A representative for Lenovo told Kotaku Monday, 'We are aware of the incidents of TwitchCon visitors who sustained injuries in the gladiator game soft foam pit at the Lenovo booth. The area has since been closed for any further use while we work with event organizers to look into the incidents.'
A spokesperson for the company has yet to respond to a DailyMail.com request for comment.
Lenovo hasn't tweeted about the incident publicly either - their last tweet being sent out Sunday to promote the foam pit.
The replies are now entirely composed of people mocking the tech company.
One tweeter joked about the 'backbreaking work' it took in banning anyone who criticized them after the injuries.
Another wrote that they're 'never buying Lenovo products again.'
A third asked if they'd bothered to let anyone know there was 'no padding' underneath the foam bricks.
In a series of tweets, Chechik attacked Lenovo Legion for keeping the booth open after another participant said they were injured the previous day.
Video captured the moment Chechik landed and struggled to move.
'You good?' a man can be heard asking.
'I can't get up,' Chechik responded as the crowd stared at her. Multiple people then rushed to her care as she struggled to move.
'No, no she's fine,' a female announcer was heard joking in the background unaware of the severity of Chechik's injuries.
'She landed on her tailbone,' another man can be heard telling the medic.
In a string of Tweets, the influencer called out the booth's operator Lenovo Legion for their 'carelessness' in allowing for the foam pit to remain open after one person previously claimed to be injured.
'Why did @LenovoLegion say here, you can dive in?' she wrote while attaching a video from the company with the two booth announcers describing the fight between two men.

LochVaness posted a video of herself in the same foam booth battling her opponent before she jumped the pit after winning. Rather than slamming Lenovo, she took a hit at Twitch.
'I will never be able to trust @Twitch at another convention in my entire life,' she later wrote on Twitter while sharing a video of how she got her injuries.
'Here's how I dislocated my knee and sprained my ankle at their Lenovo Legion booth.'
LochVaness can be seen jumping into the pit and quickly dropping her jaw before the video is cut out.
She was briefly hospitalized before doctors said she didn't break any major bones.
The streamer later posted a picture of her ankle being iced and elevated on Sunday with the caption, 'This is NOT how I wanted to spend Twitchcon Day 3.'

Many were outraged after the two incidents occurred at the weekend convention, especially after Twitch failed to shut down Lenovo's booth after LochVaness's injury.
'Holy sh** waiver or not, that's irresponsible as shit to not have proper protection on the floor,' one person wrote on Twitter.
'Terribly upsetting,' another wrote. 'I hope they all make a healthy recovery.'
'The pit is an act of negligence, full stop. Foam blocks on concrete? They're lucky someone didn't fall head first,' another said.
One person said they suffered minor injuries from the pit.
'Can confirm the pit was a bit shallow - I hit my knee pretty hard but not seriously the first time that I got knocked off of a podium,' one person wrote. 'Saw a lot of people purposely dive into the foam pit which was particularly concerning.'
Twitch didn't immediately respond to DailyMail.com for a comment.

People sent their prayers to Chechik as she revealed she had to get surgery after the incident.
In a video clip, Chechik was seen throwing herself into a foam pit was caught on camera.
Chechik tweeted : "Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today. Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now."
People were concerned for her back and her overall recovery process.
"It's sad to hear that. Get well soon," one person replied to her tweet.
Another person said: "Holy s**t, Adriana that's horrible, wishing you the best on your path to recovery I saw that clip, not your fault in any way."
Jake Lucky , her friend, replied to Chechik's tweet: "Probably the most painful thing I've seen in a while.
"Twitch streamer Adriana Chechik has confirmed broken her back in two separate places following this jump at TwitchCon."
Some people did not hold back on their raw reactions to the video of Chechik jumping and hurting her back.
"What the f**k are yall doing," one person tweeted.
"Who green lit this? like, who looked at one layer of cheap foam squares and said 'yeah, this is fine,'" another Twitch user said.
Twitter users complained about safety and said the former porn star should sue the organizers.
