TITLE: Administrative/Logistics Assistant in Fergana

POSITION LOCATION: Fergana, Uzbekistan

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Summary of Position: 

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Logistics and Operations Officer in Tashkent, the Administrative/Logistics Assistant will be responsible for implementing program administration and support activities related to office administration, operations, logistics, and finance of USAID Uzbekistan Youth Employment Skills (YES) Activity within American Councils Uzbekistan in Fergana region. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:

·      Providing administrative and logistics support to YES Activity in matters relating to organizing events, follow up of requests, assisting office staff in everyday online and offline routine work.

·      Provide administrative and logistical support for the organization of special events such as workshops, trainings, seminars, etc. in Fergana.

·      Assist in the overall procurement process, including market research, selection of a venue and services for the conferences, workshops, trainings as well as contract management process in Fergana according to the established procurement procedures.

·      Handling office tasks, such as filing, generating reports and presentations, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies in the Fergana office.

·      Assist in travel arrangements including liaison between travel agency for a route selection, finalization and purchase of tickets for staff members, participants and experts according to the established procedures in Fergana.

·      Picking up and delivering packages, mailings, bills, etc.

·      Translating internal documents, letters, and other materials upon request. (English, Russian, and Uzbek)

·      When appropriate, undertakes other related duties assigned by the supervisor and/or the DCOP.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

·      1-2 years of relevant work experience is desirable.

·      Proficiency in spoken and written English, Russian and Uzbek.

·      High computer and internet literacy.

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·      Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail.

·      Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and team environment.

·      All applicants should be able to provide and maintain work authorization in Uzbekistan.

Compensation
