Role Description This is a full-time remote Accountant role responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance. The Accountant will prepare and review journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Daily tasks include processing invoices and payments, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring proper documentation for all transactions. The role will also involve assisting with budgeting, forecasts, variance analysis, and internal controls, as well as supporting audits and regulatory filings. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and maintain consistent accounting standards.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
* Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
* Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.
* Experience supporting month-end and year-end close, audits, and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with remote and cross-functional teams.
* Capability to work independently in a remote environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.
* Experience in manufacturing or energy sectors is beneficial, along with familiarity with international accounting standards.
