Asia has a long cultural history, but the family therapy tradition is rather short. We have the Asian Journal of Family Therapy sponsored by the Korean Association of Family Therapy.

Our hope in organizing this special issue on family therapy in Asia was to highlight some of the important work in the field. The articles reveal some of the unique methods and adaptations these Asian scholars have developed, and some of the special dilemmas they face in their work.
