OK this was very unexpected short film that had been teased a couple of weeks ago and has finally debut on YouTube. Running just under 25 minutes and directed by Hiro Murai, "Clapping for the Wrong Reasons" captures Donald Glover as he walks around his L.A house and tries to figure stuff out from his life. It shows what a different life style of Donald Glover has from his show Community. It reveals a lot of events that occurred in his life. The title "Clapping for the Wrong Reasons" is probably taken from Catcher in the Rye when Holden Caulfield says, "People always clap for the wrong reasons." I'm thinking this is an ode to Holden and phoniness. It has a great and colourful cast with people like hot on real film, stars Daniel Fishel, rappers Trinidad Jame$ and Chance the Rapper. The short film has a very hypnotic feel to it and gives a very creepy vibe to it which makes the presentation much better. It was a well watch that is the reason I gave it a 10/10.
