The book reviews the history of the excavation of the site by S. Gamchenko , A. Spitzyn , and M. Artamonov — The book gives a detailed account of two periods of the occupation of the settlement: in Eneolithic time Trypillia culture and Early Iron Age Scythian culture. The book consists of the six parts and nine supplements, which include the catalogues of individual fnds of Trypillia culture, Greek Archaic pottery and the results of natural-scientifc analyses of Trypillia pottery, East-Greek pottery and of the surface of the bronze mirror handle. A lot of archive materials and fnds kept in collections are published for the frst time. The book is destined to archaeologists, historians, specialists in related sciences, students and all interested in archaeology and history of the ancient Northern Black Sea and Europe. The considered vessels belong to different variants of so called «pontic» amphorae of 8th — 10th centuries AD. The article deals in detail with the morphology of the published amphorae and dimensional parameters. The circle of closest analogies for each of the amphorae is considered. The issues of amphorae dating are being discussed. The published vessels expand the source database on the Early Medieval amphorae of the Northern Pontic region. Andrey Poliakov , Petr Amzarakov. They were located on the slope of river terrace at the foot of the mountain. Six mounds formed a compact group. They belong to the Scythian period and the Middle Ages. It gives the date of the use of a psalia from the mound number 7 - XI-IX centuries. It differs only leaf-shaped pen. This product takes an intermediate position between the tips of the Late Bronze Age and Early Scythian period. His date — IX in. Three more such burials were investigated Sayan expedition in the cemeteries Kuyart-1, Maralskoe-2 and Sayan-Border They also found bronzes. Judging by the inventory, burial are not simultaneous.
