AMA session: "ROADMAP"
PlaymuseToday, we will talk about the roadmap for 2024. Our project will be celebrating its two-year anniversary in April. This is quite a significant milestone for the TON project, and we are confidently advancing the development of our product.
Quarter 1.
In the first quarter, we plan to update our TMA application. New features for working with the community will be added.
Additionally, the second version of our Marketplace will be released this quarter. It will have more advanced functionality as we are migrating to a new backend to accelerate the development of our product.
Currently, we are refactoring all microservices within the Marketplace to make it perfect and prepare it for high loads. Our main website will also be updated this quarter. It will no longer be a promotional website but will become a super app that integrates all our services.
We have planned a token minting (non-investment instrument). We are not raising funds through it. NFT, as the main tool for attracting and owning our services, will remain forever. Nothing changes. Our NFT provides not only profits but also privileged access to our sales on the launchpad.
The most important thing: we will launch a contest for authors.
This will attract authors to our ecosystem. The rewards will be good. Details of the competition will be revealed later. The event will last for a quarter or slightly longer. It will all depend on the number of applications received. The competition will be for music and film creators.
Quarter 2.
In the second quarter, we plan to launch our first Launchpad project, most likely Moza. Our main products are the Marketplace and TMA, as they are expected to generate the most revenue based on unit economics. The team at Moza is preparing, and we have a lot of confidence in them as they excel in their field. They will have a personal account. In the music industry, not many provide such a service. The release process can be quite complicated, but with Mozа, users can simply sign up, enter into contracts with labels, and get on platforms.
We also have plans for another version of the Marketplace. It is possible that we may implement token mechanics in the second quarter, but it is not currently in our roadmap. Our focus now is on mass adoption, NFT generation, and multiple minting to facilitate and simplify the process of creating and engaging with NFTs for users.
We have planned the launch of a beta version of an event management service. We plan to offer NFT ticketing, which can be used through the TMA scanner for event entry.
Anyone will be able to create events, but there will be differences. Public events will require mandatory moderation, no exceptions. Private events, on the other hand, will not require moderation and will be invite-only.
This will be facilitated through NFT-based access tiers. If you are part of a particular community, you will have access to purchase tickets for private events within that community.
Currently, we are negotiating with authors. Specifically, from the music industry - with 953 authors. This is the total number.
Quarter 3.
We have managed, thanks to our partners and our interaction with the Moza label, to find an economic model for music streaming that no one else has been able to achieve in blockchain services. We will not violate copyright laws, and everything will be legally sound.
As for decentralized streaming, it is feasible, but only in its initial form because the technologies are still emerging. Currently, it is impossible to work without a label, as an artist cannot handle everything on their own.
You can listen to our podcast in collaboration with Moza, where we discuss these topics.
Is a label necessary for artists? Definitely, it is. It is, in fact, a service.
I am a musician myself, but now I only do it for myself. Professionally, my activity is already finished. But this year my music career is being revived: I have become the manager of the wonderful artist SorryJesus, whom I will develop, including on Playmuse, with the support of the Moza label.
The music streaming beta will initially be in its raw form, and then we will be continuously refining it, rolling out new features. However, we have found the economic model, so our stakeholders will also be able to earn from it.
Additionally, we will update our main website, Playmuse.org, introducing new features that will enhance your content management experience. These improvements will simplify your life and be even better organized than Patreon and Boosty.
It's much more convenient because I collect "opinion products", hold castdevs with authors, and do research, so I have an understanding of how to build a product and where to direct it. If we look at Playmuse as an alternative to traditional services like Yandex.Music and Spotify, then we're probably more focused on exclusive content. The main value for users is that you can get something you can't get anywhere else and truly own it.
From a technical standpoint, our task is to implement all this functionality through exclusivity. We want people to follow their favorite artists/filmmakers, make purchases, and engage in these communities. At the same time, we want the functionality to be familiar and user-friendly for them.
I am confident that we will shoot an excellent commercial this year. We can do it because we have our own production team, who came from the film industry. They are my wonderful friends. They may be old and not really understand technology, but they do their job amazingly well. I believe that some of the movies and things they have filmed are quite recognizable.
After the beta version, the first version of the event management service will be released in the second quarter. We won't be assigning versions on the roadmap anymore. The products will have a strategy, they will evolve - some products will be added, while others will be reduced. The event management service is something that is completely absent in all ticketing services.
They charge high commissions because they have high operating expenses and complex business models. The NFT model allows for a significantly lower percentage. Moreover, these tickets can also be used as access to communities or simply collected.
There will also be a dashboard for holders in the third quarter, which will display statistics on earnings from our smart contracts and the progress of our NFT redemption.
We plan to make this mechanism available for royalty creative projects.
There are also questions regarding profit distribution. In the second quarter, we plan to develop a smart contract or add tools for income distribution.
Regarding our token, I repeat once again, it is not an investment.
This is more like Yandex Plus points or Twitch's internal currency. You will be able to earn these tokens and spend them within the system.
Quarter 4.
As for the fourth quarter, we will release a beta version of our streaming service for videos with all blockchain mechanics. We have already conducted a test stream, and in 2022, we live-streamed the Sorry Jesus concert. The recording is available on our channel.
The strategy this year is significantly different because TON is attracting many strong teams, and we will need to compete.
The most important thing for the fourth quarter is the movie streaming service.
A full-length film is unlikely to appear because it is not in the NFT format. Currently, it is the era of TV series and full-length films are fading away, as we have a preference for consuming quick content. We will be focusing on producing TV series.
We have a marketing plan for each quarter and in the media field, we will become more active.
We have slightly changed our strategy regarding partners in terms of preparing for collection launches. Some of them we have already highlighted - Notahash, the Moza project, Hardbass Production. But within this month, we expect to have 10 to 20 collections that will be listed on the platform.
Collections of various formats will start appearing: utility, creative, and conceptual. We expect all of this to happen by the end of February, with 10-20 such launches. There are also collections that have not been announced at all.
Are we planning to release 15,000 NFTs?
I practically say this on every AMA session, and I'm happy to repeat it again: it's possible that not all NFTs will be released, and if they are released and we don't need to sell them, we will simply burn them, that's it.
Our drops are small and there will always be a limited supply of NFTs, making them difficult to acquire. Perhaps we will mint no more than 1000-1500 NFTs. It will no longer be called presales, but rather drops. Currently, there are only 60 NFTs left in the presale. The price of the next one will be significantly higher.
I think that the two-year age of the project speaks to the fact that our team is utilizing the resources of the holders properly and wisely. With limited resources, we are able to achieve what many teams in TON cannot.
We are still open and easy to reach with any constructive questions.
