About the role
The AI Fact-Checking Assistant works as part of a specialized team focused on vetting automated research and data summaries. In this part-time, fully remote position, you will be checking the claims made by AI models against verified primary and secondary sources. You will spend your time identifying inconsistencies, verifying dates and figures, and ensuring that the logic used in our internal reports is sound. This is an entry-level position well-suited for someone who enjoys research and has a sharp eye for detail. You will work on a contract basis, helping our firm maintain its commitment to accuracy while we adopt new technological tools.
What you will do
* Review AI-generated summaries of financial reports and market news to confirm factual accuracy.
* Cross-reference data points, such as revenue figures or historical dates, with official filings and reputable news sources.
* Identify instances of AI hallucination or logical errors in automated research drafts.
* Update internal databases with corrected information when inaccuracies are found.
* Write brief notes explaining why certain AI-generated claims are incorrect or misleading.
* Provide feedback to the technical team regarding recurring errors in specific AI models.
* Assist in the creation of a library of verified facts for use in long-term investment analysis.
* Maintain a clear log of verification tasks completed during each shift.
* Communicate findings clearly to senior analysts to ensure research integrity.
