𝗔𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗔 (Hangul: 에스파; stylized as æspa or Aespa) is a K–POP girl group formed by SM Entertainment. The group consists of four members: Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. They debuted on November 17, 2020, with the single "Black Mamba".
𝗧heir name is a combination of “æ”, which means ‘𝐀vatar 𝐗 𝐄xperience’, and “aspect”, which means double-sided. Together it means that you would being able to experience a new world through an avatar of yourself.

𝗞nown for their unique concept, 𝗔𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗔 is connected to the SM Cinematic Universe’s KWANGYA, a metaverse–like world where avatars live. 𝗔𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗔, unlike other currently active groups, has it’s own avatar counterparts: AE–Karina, AE–Giselle, AE–Winter, and AE–Ningning.
