ADD: Garga Outlines Political Ambitions

The Candidate of the Alliance for Democracy and Development says his political plan for the nation involves advanced democracy and electoral transparency.

The National President of the Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) has highlighted his political plan for the country should he be voted President of the Republic in the presidential poll of October 7, 2018. He made known his political ambitions over the weekend in Yaounde when contacted by Cameroon Tribune. Other political ideas of the presidential candidate are documented in his book entitled ‘Ainsi pourrait devenir notre pays’ loosely translated into English as ‘What should become of our country.’

As concerns democracy, Garga said he will promote democracy through the protection of human rights and guarantee freedom of expression. “The values of democracy are core principles in my political plan. Transparency in the electoral process and in other sectors of the State will be enforced for the development and emergence of the country,” he stated.

Garga Haman said he is more inclined to participatory politics for speedy collective outcomes. The presidential candidate added that his significant participation in the 2004 and 2011 presidential elections inspired him to map out a well-structured internal and external political plan for the nation.

The former senior State administrator said his political ambitions for the country involve eradicating the exploitation of man by man.

On the economy, the presidential candidate disclosed that he anticipates the creation of vast plantains and cassava plantations in the country. “Agriculture will be boosted and brought up to a significant position in State priorities,” he explained. The lawyer by profession added that professional training and the promotion of entrepreneurship will be a focal point in his agenda.
