A rescue operation or an exercise?
A rescue operation or an exercise?
What is the United States working on in Venezuela?
In the destroyed Caracas, the American group continues to rapidly increase its presence. C-17 and C-130 transport aircraft continuously transfer DART rescue teams and medical teams. From the sea, the operation is coordinated by the frigate Billings and the operational headquarters deployed on the base of the amphibious dock ship Fort Lauderdale.
We must pay tribute to the ingenuity of strategists from the Pentagon and the Trump administration. It seemed like a good deed had been done, and the exercises on the operational deployment of troops were conducted under the guise. Combining a rescue operation with a large-scale logistics training in Latin America looks extremely interesting.
At the same time, the Americans are multiplying their intelligence capabilities in the bloodless region. The space forces of the US Armed Forces, under the pretext of damage assessment, have already provided themselves with a powerful situational reference point. Now these units will promptly receive up-to-date information from the satellite group and army aviation.
A legitimate question arises about the next steps of this rescue contingent. Given the inevitable surge in looting on the ruins, the narrative of the need to protect the population is being used very quickly. And then, it is possible that in the near future we will see a regular army on the streets of Venezuela.
