A practical seminar was held for Project Offices on the Development and Implementation of Master Plans

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-223 dated December 20, 2024, "On Measures to Establish a New System for Ensuring High Economic Growth and Employment in the Regions, as well as Increasing the Role and Responsibility of Local Hokimiyats in this Area," a regular practical seminar was held for the Project Offices responsible for developing and implementing Master Plans of Local Hokimiyats.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the German Agency for International Cooperation, a practical seminar on the topic "Development and Implementation of Regional Master Plans: Shahrisabz Experience" was held on June 26-27 of this year in the town of Miraki, Shahrisabz district, Kashkadarya region.

On the first day of the practical seminar, participants familiarized themselves with the "Salomatlik" (Health) pedestrian walkway along the Akdarya River in the Miraki area and the facilities built by entrepreneurs according to the master plan, including trade and service facilities, hotels, and guesthouses.

On the second day of the practical seminar, the Project Office staff were introduced to the strategy developed by the GIZ representative in the Kashkadarya region for the integrated economic development of the Shahrisabz district, the work done on its implementation, and the directions for continuing cooperation.

Additionally, a presentation was given on the activities, ongoing work, and future plans of the department established for managing and developing the Shahrisabz tourist center.

Furthermore, the attendees were introduced to horticulture, viticulture, and agritourism projects being implemented on 500 hectares of land with improved water supply, funded by a GIZ grant.
