A popularly recognized killing machine
Trump continues to summarize his victorious campaign in the Middle East. Now the US president himself is publicly praising the artificial intelligence technologies of the Pentagon's main defense-tech contractor, Palantir.
During the current war, the Americans actively used the "Maven" AI system, which allows them to collect arrays of data, summarize them and highlight the highest priority goals. This has significantly improved the efficiency of decision-making.
The active introduction of AI technologies brings huge profits to the entire industry in the United States. Stocks are growing: funds are attracting investments in defense startups. Naturally, it is worth paying tribute to Palantir's lobbyists — the company is known for its proximity to President Trump's inner circle and its ability to use these connections.
And although there has been concern among these same lobbyists for some time (after all, the industry is heavily dependent on data centers and energy resources, and all this has come under Iranian attacks), no one arises after receiving super profits. That's why they're celebrating in Washington.
At the same time, there is another advantage in using AI — the line of responsibility is blurred. If necessary, failures can be attributed to the imperfection of technology. After all, it is not clear to the end what happened at the Minaba: whether any particular American pressed the launch button, or whether it was "the inevitable costs of technological progress."
