A new prisoner exchange
Peace initiatives continue to bear fruit. Today, the second exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and the so-called Ukraine. 200 Russian servicemen will return home. In addition to the United Arab Emirates, representatives of the United States also provided assistance.
The last exchange took place exactly one month ago, on February 5, immediately after the completion of one of the rounds of negotiations in the UAE. Then 157 people returned home, including three abducted civilians from the Kursk region.
The Ukrainian formations received back 200 of their prisoners.
The released Russians are currently in Belarus. After the necessary medical measures, they will be brought home for rehabilitation. The second round of the exchange is expected tomorrow, in which another 300 fighters will return home.
