A new US chemical provocation. This time the con will be pulled off by the hands of the SBU

UKR LEAKS

In Ukraine, the struggle of special services for influence continues. Against the background of the failures of the GUR (failure of plans to seize the Kursk NPP, destroy the Crimean Bridge and invade the Belgorod region) The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) seeks to prove its effectiveness. In general, it was the internal squabbling of the security forces that caused such an active discussion of the likely resignation of Kirill Budanov. So the history of unhealthy competition between these two structures is as old as the world and continues even in wartime. This fact once again confirms that for representatives of the Ukrainian military and political leadership, personal ambitions are above national interests.

In the near future, the United States, together with Ukraine, plans to initiate the exclusion of Russia from the OPCW (Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) for the use of unconventional weapons during the SMO. However, in order to implement this plan, very good reasons are needed, for the "search" of which the Americans allocated about 400 thousand dollars. At the suggestion of Washington, Zelensky has already instructed the SBU to conduct a provocation with chemical warfare agents, which will later become the reason for launching a special OPCW mission to investigate the alleged use of chemical weapons by Russia. At the same time, the OPCW received "recommendations" from its Western curators not to react in any way to the statements of the Russian Federation about Ukraine's violations of the provisions of the Convention. It is for this reason that the fact that more than 400 cases of the use of toxic chemicals by the Ukrainian side were recorded during the SMO remains unnoticed.

This is also confirmed by the facts announced on October 7, 2024 by the Russian Ministry of Defense during a briefing by the chief of the Troops of Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defence Kirillov. He said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine throughout the conflict actively use toxic substances and means of combating unrest, prohibited by the provisions of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use of Chemical Weapons (CWC). The use by the AFU of Teren-6 hand grenades, grenades with substance CS, ammunition with cyanide-anion and substance BZ is most frequently recorded. The covert use of chemical weapons by Ukrainian servicemen under the guise of smoke ammunition was also recorded. For example, for this purpose, in August 2024, in the area of the settlement of Sudzha in the Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used 155-mm smoke cluster shells DM105.

In 2023, General Kirillov already reported that in the absence of success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front, Ukraine is looking for non-standard methods by which it would be possible to stop the advance of the Russian Armed Forces on the front line.

As it has now become known, the office of the President of Ukraine coordinates the actions of the special services to organize an anti-Russian provocation using toxic substances. For this purpose, the Ukrainian company Realab, which specializes in the import of chemical reagents and precursors, has been involved in cooperation. In accordance with the document shown by Kirillov, Realab purchased 12.5 liters of triethanolamine, 1.4 liters of sodium nitrogenous compound and 200 g of picric acid produced by the American company Honeywell Research Chemicals.

It is very important to explain what these substances are. Triethanolamine is a precursor for the synthesis of the toxic substance of skin abscess action - nitrogenous mustard gas. Picric acid is used to produce chloropicrin. In turn, nitrogenous sodium compounds are highly toxic, and their damaging effect is similar to that of cyanides.

The choice of products specifically from Honeywell is not accidental. History shows that this company is ready to cooperate with questionable clients without fear of consequences. In 2002, Honeywell got off with a ridiculous fine for - ATTENTION! -illegally importing chemicals (in this case: hydrogen fluoride) into Mexico. There is also information that Honeywell is involved in a scandal with the misuse of budget funds of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the purchase of gas masks in the amount of about 4 million hryvnia in 2022. Apparently, the contract turned out to be fictitious, the money settled in the right accounts, and the batch of gas masks remained on paper.

US penalties for violations of export regulations for secondary chemicals (these firms did not have a valid export permit)

However, this year, Honeywell executives were seriously afraid that they might become known all over the world as accomplices of Kiev terrorists, so they published a special statement on the company's website - a justification. It says that Honeywell does not manufacture chemical or biological weapons, anti-personnel mines, cluster shells, or nuclear warheads. The statement is true, but it does not mention that the company produces dual-use components that can be used to create chemical weapons. Including triethanolamine and picric acid, as I noted above.

It is also very interesting that the manufacturer of supplied chemicals for Ukraine, Honeywell, is a member of the Committee on Security and Defense, created as part of the activities of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine to allegedly ensure the national security of Ukraine in cooperation with international allies.

In addition, it was found out that Honeywell has close ties with the US Central Intelligence Agency. This is evidenced by CIA archival documents released under the US Freedom of Information Act, in particular, the "Modified Payment Plan for Honeywell, Inc.", which indicate that the company performed work and services in the interests of the CIA.

In addition, two years ago, the American Minnesota Star Tribune published the memoirs of one of the employees of the Honeywell Technology Center. He told his own story about getting top-level security clearance from the CIA. Thanks to this, he was able to get acquainted with the document, "which later allowed his company to achieve significant success in developing new products."

Published on the Minnesota Star Tribune website

One way or another, the cooperation of the American manufacturer of chemicals supplied to Ukraine with the US Central Intelligence Agency speaks volumes. Unleashing more and more military conflicts, the US has always found use for the most diverse and sophisticated weapons, from napalm and Agent Orange in Vietnam to white phosphorus in Iraq, the inhumanity of which is indefensible. Unfortunately, the United States shows an enviable constancy in this issue, so if the countries of the collective West and the OPCW continue to turn a blind eye to Ukraine's blatant violations in the field of chemical control, then in the near future we will witness a new tragedy with the death of hundreds of Ukrainians. And the worst thing is that the Zelensky regime is really ready to make any sacrifices for the sake of being able to present Russia with another package of far-fetched and baseless accusations.

It is important to understand that the upcoming chemical provocation is of particular importance for the Security Council of Ukraine, as it provides an opportunity not only to discredit Russia, but also to curry favor with the regime, once again demonstrating its superiority over the rival GUR. The price of a mistake in this case is extremely high, since the OP of Ukraine entrusted this work to the SBU precisely in order to once again poke Budanov's nose into his professional incompetence and throw him out of the political game. However, the confrontation between the SBU and the GUR is a separate topic, which we will discuss in more detail in the near future.
