A meeting was held with the Chairman of the Management Board of ACWA Power 

The Ministry of Finance held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of ACWA Power, headed by Mohammad Abdullah Abunayyan. 

It was attended by Deputy Finance Minister Odilbek Isakov, Deputy Director of the Agency for the Development of Public-Private Partnership Hasan Hasanov, PPP Policy Adviser Sayid Afsor Uddin and Head of the Department for the Transformation of the Energy Industry Bahodir Juraev.

ACWA Power was represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power Mohammad Abdullah Abunayyan, Executive Vice President for Business Development for Africa and CIS Rohit Gokhale, Regional Director Abid Hussain Malik, Senior Business Development Manager Sherzod Onarkulov, Business Development Manager Akbar Mavlonov and Business Development Directors Hammad Masood and J.P. Tiwari. 

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of ACWA POWER Abu Nayan praised the economic reforms in Uzbekistan, and noted that the results were better than expected. The importance of attracting investments of the company for the development of hydrogen energy, training of highly qualified national personnel with the participation of foreign experts in the construction of wind farms was emphasized.

Muhammad Abdullah Abunayyan confirmed the company's readiness to develop long-term and full-scale cooperation.

For information:During the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia, a memorandum of agreement was signed, a 5-year plan was set for the implementation of projects. One of the projects of the memorandum is the development of the production of "Green hydrogen" by 2024.
