A meeting was held with representatives of the Turkish company Tarsus Industrial Zone

On July 23, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Norkulov held a meeting with representatives of the Turkish delegation led by General Manager of Tarsus Industrial Zone Hasan Ruhi Kocak.

The meeting was attended by Sinan Ozcan, director of the private sector specializing in the construction of the industrial region of Tarsus, Gechim Erman, planning project engineer at the Tarsus Industrial Zone company, as well as Dilshod Abidov, acting director of the Center for Industry Markets and Export-Oriented Manufacturing Research, Bakhtiyor Muhammadsaidov, first Deputy Director of the Department for Implementation of Industrial Policy of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Deputy Director of the Department of International Relations Shukhrat Matkarimov and other responsible representatives were present.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed the first steps to introduce successful models of industrial and special zones in Turkey in Uzbekistan in order to effectively solve the assigned tasks. In particular, the current level of industrial and free economic zones, improving their regulatory framework, as well as issues of developing the structure and infrastructure of industrial zones were discussed.

Also during the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the development of logistics between industrial and free economic zones, reducing transport costs, analyzing tax trends and experience of Turkey in this area.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop and expand cooperation.
