A meeting took place with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan

On October 22, 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan with H.E. Won Do-Yeon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilkhom Norkulov, Deputy Minister Gulnora Rakhimova, and Chairman of the Treasury Committee Abdulaziz Khaydarov.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. In particular, they agreed to deepen collaboration on the digitalization of public procurement processes with the involvement of Korean experts, as well as to advance joint initiatives aimed at implementing AI-based solutions in the financial and treasury sectors.

Special attention was given to expert cooperation, including opportunities to engage Korean specialists for knowledge exchange and consultative support. The parties emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in digitalization and artificial intelligence as one of the promising areas of bilateral partnership.

The sides also discussed the implementation of joint projects focused on establishing AI centers and training qualified professionals in technological fields.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation and partnership in the fields of innovation and digital technologies.
