A few questions about insurance and registration?

"5 years back i got an insurance for my bike - Today the worthiness is depreciated to 20000/-. So i stopped spending my plan and the insurance got lapsed. My issue is suppose if I am asked by any traffic constable for the insurance what can I claim? Without paying the great ways to get rid of this situation
