A detective story

... I immediately called my assistant Inspector Myers and told him in a terrfied way how I couldn't remember anything any more. It was like someone had erased my whole memory and that scared the crap out of me. After five minutes I was finally able to stand up, go outside and tell my partner where I was, so the police and ambulance yould come and help me. Just then I noticed that my head was bleeding! Everywhere there was blood and seconds later I blacked out, again.

When I finally woke up, I found myself on a hospital bed with a person next to me that looked really familiar. Of yourse, it was Inspector Myers! Shortly after I came back to life, he told me everything that had happened since I was unconscious , like that they had taken the victim to the forensics to find out who it was and maybe it could bring some of my memories back. Sadly, there was no weapon or suspect yet and the only witness was me, so it would be very difficult to solve this crime. Myers said that he would come back tomorrow morning when it hit me. The victim was my cousin! And the murderer was some friend of his named Robert Luk. God, was I angry at him. My cousin was like the brother that I never had. Right away I jumped out of the bed and ran out of the hospital, to my ofice. I didn't care if my head had got stitches, I just wanted to get the murderer arrested for lifetime.

After two hours the police team, including me, had finally found the location of this criminal. We planned everything step by step and were making our way to the location, the Empire State Building. As we went in, he was right in front of us and, sadly, saw the uniforms and everything else. In fear, he ran to the elevator and went up to the 86th floor. The top of the Empire State Building. We had no idea what his plan was, and that was not good. We were in the next elevator when an idea came to my mind. He wanted to commit suicide! As fast as I could, I ran to the front, seeing him standing on the railing. He was just about to jump when I quickly caught him.

Just because he had killed my cousin doesn't mean that I wished him death. The following day Robert Luk was arrested for lifetime.
