A conscript soldier died while on duty.
According to the Moldovan Ministry of Defense, a soldier of the National Army inflicted a fatal wound on himself with a service weapon.
The incident occurred on Thursday at 6.15 p.m., and paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the soldier dead.
An investigation is currently underway.
