One of the best storytelling frameworks is called AIDA.

👉🏼 Interest
👉🏼 Desire
👉🏼 Action
Let’s break it down.

ATTENTION
Capture your audience’s attention by sharing some exciting traction figures or perhaps how big the opportunity is.
Example: We’re doing $500k in monthly recurring revenue and haven’t raised a dollar yet.
INTEREST
Now that you have their attention, connect the dots of how you get from where you are today to the exciting outcome for your audience.
Example: We can 10x our revenue by doing A, B and C.
DESIRE
You can create desire by showing momentum or competition. Is there another investor interested in your business? Are customers demanding it?
Example: We have a waitlist of 30 customers ready to sign up.
ACTION
State what action you want your audience to take based on the information you’ve shared.
Example: Would you be open to hoping on a quick call to give us feedback on our progress? (don’t ask for money over email, ask for advice)
Conclusion
This is a very simple application of AIDA, but the possibilities are endless. Anytime you need to craft a story, AIDA is a great framework to use.
