A Natural Age Spot Lightener Won't Irritate Or Dry Your Skin - Just the Opposite

For age spots, the usual dermatologist-recommended answer is a prescription product that works by irritating the skin into peeling and flaking off, one layer after another.

Eventually it can lighten age spots -- and also dry out your skin and make it super-sensitive to sunlight.

That's one way to do it. This is a personal choice, of course, but it never appealed to me. If dark, discolored spots are a problem for you, I suggest you try a natural age spot lightener that works while it soothes and brightens your skin.

The natural method is a recent development in skin care that happened while German researchers were testing a traditional Ayurvedic medicinal ingredient of India for its anti-irritant properties on the skin. It worked very well. But it surprised them with one other remarkable quality: it also lightened the skin.

Made of the powdered root of the nutgrass plant native to India, it gradually whitened the skin while it worked effectively to soothe, smooth, brighten and nourish the skin, as well.

It proved effective on age spots, on freckles, and as an overall skin whitener. This is a quality prized in many cultures where a product that lightens the natural skin color is much sought after.

The reason that some of us have naturally lighter or darker skin than others is the natural skin pigment melanin. Light-skinned people tan under regular sunshine because their skin is stimulated to produce more melanin. Dark-skinned people normally produce more melanin; the more melanin, the darker the skin.

Melanin is also the coloring factor in freckles and age spots.

The extract of the plant was trademarked as Extrapone Nutgrass Root, and in clinical trials it was mixed with water and glycerine and worked effectively by inhibiting melanin -- by 41 percent! There were absolutely no side effects.
