A Clarification Letter from “Condom Lad” at Pik Uk Prison

[Letter from Condom Lad]

First of all, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your letters! I have replied to all letters received on the 15th and 16th. For those with a return address, I replied back directly. My reply letters to those without a return address were sent to the office of Legislator Fernando Cheung who will kindly help re-direct them to the corresponding senders.

Here I would like to clarify that my nickname is Condom Lad not because I am now detained. I got this name from way before. In fact, 003 was my ID number in a support group. As the group administrators got to know me better, they joked : “Well, 003…just like the 0.03 super thin condom eh, ha…ha…” I was not comfortable with this nickname at first but with time I got used to it, and adopted it as my Telegram name. Since then I have been going by the pseudonym Condom Lad. Comrades from the Anti-ELAB Movement all know me as Condom Lad, so they should know this letter is from me. By the way, in full it is actually 0.03 Condom Lad. I hope there is no misunderstanding because I never feel I am a condom (being disposable).

On a second note, comrades detained in PUCI are starting to send out their letters. Please read their letters! On 24 January at 22:00, we could hear people outside PUCI chanting “Liberate Hong Kong, Revolution of our Time” and wishing us a happy Chinese New Year. Thank you so much! The chants of comrade-sisters were particularly loud and clear. We all at PUCI wish you a happy Chinese New Year, good health, all the best and to liberate Hong Kong!
