Bedside Cot Reviews
A bedside crib (also called a bassinet) is located near your bed to allow you to be able to tend to your baby during feedings at night and nappy changes without needing to get out of bed. These cribs are fantastic to help develop independence in your child as they get more comfortable in their own sleeping space.
The Joie Roomie Glide
The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to sleep with their infant while ensuring they're sleeping safely. The smooth glide motion helps to lull your baby back into sleep and its innovative features allow you to monitor them without having to leave your own bed.
The sliding side panel of the cot can be lifted and lowered with just a press of a button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby in the night. It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to accommodate the mattress of nearly any size bed. It also includes adjustable folding feet to make sure that it's placed at just the right height.
In terms of safety, the cot is padded and comes with mesh sides to provide more ventilation, while its mattress is made from high-density foam for additional protection. It's also washable so you can keep it clean. Additionally, it is fitted with a sheet that is suitable for the cot.
bedside crib travel , unlike some other cribs for bed, is compatible with all beds including divans. This is thanks to the clips and straps which connect to it. It can be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't attached to the bed. It is packed with amazing features that were designed with baby and parent bonding in mind.
One thing to keep in mind is that although this crib is great for babies, it won't last long once your little one turns six months old, so you'll require a bigger cot. However, overall Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a excellent purchase and she especially liked its elegant design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for an item. She was pleased with the way it was positioned in her bedroom, and thought its grey color would fit most modern homes. However, she pointed out that it isn't a great idea to rock a younger baby as it could set the stage for bad habits that will affect later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure the best sleep possible. It has a drop-side rail that can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to wake your child or get out of bed it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.
We love that it's constructed of soft fabrics with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It is available in charcoal or oak and a variety of melange fabrics that blend with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when attached to her bed with the legs firmly snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure safety for babies. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or support contact number should you run into any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside, like being able to be connected to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option that can be used to alleviate reflux or congestion in babies. It's also machine washable, a must for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that come with having a newborn!
If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months when they're beginning to learn to sleep independently, the CoZee is a great choice as it can also be used as a stand-alone cot, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it can be converted into an actual crib. And while it will not feed your baby or magically put them to sleep it will gently rock them and send them off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of the more expensive options, however it is packed with lots of features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib, and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel, and is simple to use even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels and feet that retract to fit under any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides, which can be moved up and down by pressing a button. This was an enormous help in feedings at night because it meant they could easily reach in and take their baby away without waking them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended, as it increases the risk that your child could get out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will remain in place if it's properly attached to the parent's mattress. This feature is fantastic for peace of mind if you breastfeed and require frequent feedings at night.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be a perfect fit for any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers thanks to the telescopic legs. It also has an option to tilt for babies with reflux and a rocking mode to soothe them back to sleep after eating. It's also very spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers, but it can still be easily moved from one area to another. It's also able to fold up into its travel bag, which is great when you need to transport it. The only drawback our testers found was that the side panel didn't flex as much as the other models, which made it slightly harder to see your baby from your own bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're looking for an ideal bedside crib that can develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth considering. It's a sleeper crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and strengthening your bond with your baby's new.
The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other models. The dual-view mesh side panels and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable allow for maximum airflow, keeping your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to ease colic and reflux, while the zip down side allows you to feed or soothe your baby at night.
The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to start. It took us about an hour to construct and was fairly straightforward. The only downside to the instructions was that certain images did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. However, overall it was a straightforward procedure and the quality of the materials used was high.
The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for women who are breastfeeding or have had an e-csection. It lets them reach out and touch their baby for comfort and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's also great for parents who prefer not to go through the difficulty of getting into and out of a traditional cot or placing their baby down to sleep.
The gliding motion was found to be very beneficial in lulling babies into sleep following meals at night or midday. The drop-down side can also be accessible to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night, which was a real benefit for our exhausted test mothers. Although it doesn't rock, or come with extra features like a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition our top bedside crib reviews.
