5. Whirlwind during the Exodus

During the Exodus, God accompanied the people of Israel. The Bible speaks of a pillar of fire and cloud that showed the Israelites the way.

21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

(Exodus 13:21-22)

And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

(Exodus 19:18)

15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.

16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

(Exodus 24:15-16)

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.

(Deuteronomy 1:33)

These texts indicate that the ancient Israelites encountered some kind of vortex technology. Scientists have yet to figure out what those technologies were.
