The BOB Sport Utility
The BOB Sport utility is a great stroller to choose if you want to leave the track and exercise. The jogging stoller features pneumatic knobby wheels that are perfect for trail runs, and the handbrake allows you to manage the downhills. It also features a state-of the-art suspension system and a two-step folding design, and an enormous cargo basket. If you buy the right adapters, you can use it with a child car seat.
The biggest drawback to this jogging stroller is its weight and size when folded. It weighs 25 pounds and folds to 17,850 cubic inches, which is about average for this category of strollers. Its size isn't ideal for tight turns or narrow trunk spaces, but it has a handle at the rear of the basket that can be pulled to fold it into the most compact, flat position.
The stroller is easy to maneuver despite its size. The front wheel is equipped with a locking mechanism that lets you switch it between normal and locked running mode, and the handlebar has adjustable height settings for different parent heights. It has a wide seat which can be reclined to nearly flat, and a large vinyl peekaboo window.
The Sport Utility also scored a 9/10 for its impressive quality. It is built with a strong aluminum frame, with strong connections and has no rough edges or poor stitching. It also has adjustable dampers which aid in smoothness of the rolling.
Like the other BOB strollers in this review, the Sport Utility has optional car seat adapters that let you use it with different infant car seats. In our tests, it took around 5:24 minutes to put together the stroller from packing it up before it was ready to go. The assembly was straightforward however you'll require a Philips screwdriver. The instruction manual is well-organized and clear but it's a good idea just to have one in the case.
The Baby Trend Expedition
This jogger was built with safety, fashion and user-friendliness as its primary goals. It has a parent tray that includes 2 cup holders and covered storage, and an infant tray that swings away and has two cup holders. The adjustable canopy, with its peek-aboo windows and an extra-wide ergonomically-shaped handle, provides comfort for both parents. The front wheel lockable can be removed when strolling and locked for running. The large storage basket is able to hold essential travel items.
Consumer Reports' Strollers test program confirms that the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger is a good value for its price and has higher scores than most of its rivals across several categories. This includes the ease of using the 5-point harness folding and unfolding as well as adjusting the backrest. engaging the wheel brakes and infant car seat removal and installation (only for compatible models). It's a basic design with a one-handed recline that's deep enough for napping. The canopy cover that has an adjustable ratcheting isn't easy to use. The pushchair doesn't have a storage basket underneath the seat. The small shopping bag located at the rear of the seat isn't big enough to accommodate a larger changing pouch. It is very simple to unfold and close, with only two hands required to release the plastic catches on either side of the lower frame. There is a second lock catch on the handlebar in red which can be opened with just one hand, making it extremely practical to use.
