5 Laws That Will Help To Improve The Item Upgrades Industry
Path of Exile Item Upgrades
The performance of many Path of Exile items can be enhanced by upgrading them. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.
Rare-grade equipment is often superior to modernized Common or Magic gear due to their high demands.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both weapon and armor items. They boost the performance of the item that they're connected to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of games and purchased from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged using a professional or higher salvage kit to retrieve upgrade components from items.
The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. Upgrading a piece of armor to maximum upgrade level will increase the damage it absorbs. However, it's important to keep in mind that this will increase its weight, which will cause it to be heavier than before.
There are a variety of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. For instance, some upgrades will grant the armor a certain number of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The kind of armor upgrade an item can get is indicated by the name of the upgrade, as indicated in the table below.
item upgrade of the upgrades also require magic or a hybrid technology and magic, which is identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Additionally, some upgrades require a charge to use, and are identified by the "Charges" entry in the table below. These charges are either updated daily or never expire, depending on the upgrade.
The cheapest way to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be gathered by exploring the area and looting minor loot chests. Titanium is more costly, but is readily available at the smelters of Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give a significant improvements in stats and are definitely worth the cost.
The player must be aware, however, that upgrading a piece up to the max upgrade level will boost its defense. However, it can also reduce its agility and its speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor beyond +9. The boost in defense usually isn't worth the weight and power expenses of the upgrades.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades give players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. For instance an upgrade can enhance the damage caused by the shells of a shotgun or the accuracy of the sniper rifle. Certain weapons also come with upgrades that improve their innate qualities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, minimizes the possibility of overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's acceleration to cause more damage) are two examples.
Most weapon upgrades require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons, and a whetblade to apply. These are obtained through either doing side quests, or taking out a certain number of monsters or bosses or by contacting the Weapon Upgrade NPC located in Central Flarine.
To upgrade an equipment set, weapon piece or Whetblade You must go to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee of a certain amount of Bars. The more bars you need to complete an upgrade, the more expensive the upgrade. The cost of upgrades will be lower if you have more than one of the upgrade materials.
In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade weapon and equipment sets has changed a bit. Previously you could search for an Upgrade Bench and pay a certain amount of Bars to upgrade your weapon or equipment to an increased quality. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level, at which point the upgrades would reset.
You can still do this, but the process is high on RNG and low on agency. You should consider buying equipment with low upgrade levels but with high base scores and stat distributions. These will then have a better chance of bringing you the best tier of bonuses and blessings.
Most players will want to make the most of upgrades to weapons they use most frequently to make sure they are able to level up faster. In addition players, they should also consider upgrading the weapons they use with their teammates to make them more powerful and effective. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will make it more useful when accompanied by biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.
Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the armor's sockets and weapons, increasing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. Jewelry crafting is the process of creating them. You combine the gemstone with specific reagents on a table. The higher the level of the gemstone, the better the secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses all over the world, or by collecting Legendary Gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.
The Jeweler can improve the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. Based on the level of the gem, it will provide a different stat boosts when inserted into gear, weapons and jewelry.
All tiers of jewels can be made at the Jeweler and Jeweler's Workshop, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a sufficient level to obtain the privilege of having them. Jewels can be replaced by another one without damaging the original. You are able to replace the jewel once in an item of equipment.
Using more jewels in a movement will make it more smooth and is usually done for aesthetic reasons. Jewels also enhance performance and create a surface harder than steel so that repeated friction caused by pivots does not cause damage to the movement.
A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the look of your weapons and shields. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be freely swapped, but they're not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs are upgradeable, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold and scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits and aegis aren't swappable and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets are pieces of equipment that offer an array of small, but beneficial advantages to your hero. They can be acquired starting in the starter areas as loot, personal story rewards, from vendors, or by completing road interactions. They can be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.
The first trinket a player will be able to unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny but beneficial boost in movement speed and the ability to evade. After that, they can get amulets, rings, and necklaces in the same manner to the way a player obtains armor and weapons. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal upgrade or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and are able to be used on any equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced, and can only be used with certain trinkets.
These trinkets can also grant buffs and skills that are active even when the character is not fighting. This allows a hero to become more efficient even when not in combat. It can also make up for the lack of a strong slots in the team or talent tree which are usually filled by the hero's optimal stats.
A good general rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you will not replace soon, followed by items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item being upgraded. This is particularly true if an item has multiple stats you'd like to upgrade, as it's often better to upgrade just one crucial stat than two subpar ones.
Jungle players usually upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red one at the start of the game. Top and mid players, on the other hand they will select either a pink or green ward, based on the game's matchup. These choices can impact the ability of a hero to control the map.
In addition to the items mentioned above, players will also discover other trinkets in form trophies and rewards throughout the game. These can be obtained by completing certain milestones within the story, for instance the main quest of a chapter or killing a particular boss. You can see them by clicking on the achievement in the reward section of the hero's menu.
