Upgrades can boost the power of a piece of equipment and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements applied.
The elite racial Shield Razortail for instance, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP or add additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more tradable over the original version that is not upgraded.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll an acquired item, such as armor, weapon, or rings. The item is replaced by another item of the same type however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they do not retain the same level as the original item, and any wasted resources won't be compensated for.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors via a variety of methods like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or bought from the store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attributes of a piece of equipment, such as increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.
Players can roll their equipment using three categories that include physical power, magical power and health. Home to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional level of health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available such as upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade takes an item to a higher-quality and requires a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Stage, and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. This will display a menu showing the item's current level and what it will be after being upgraded and the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.
After selecting the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the durability of the item. This is an excellent option for players who wish to gain an advantage in combat but don't want to strain their wallets. Moreover, players can transfer the experience and advancement of an upgraded item to a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. Leveling

Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to offer an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, acquired by completing quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
Items upgrades enable players to increase certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements to upgrade an item differ based on the type of item, but you'll typically need Dilithium as well as the number of Upgrade tokens.
