In a society where thin is the best, it is refreshing to see those proud of their curves. However, as with most interesting social phenomena, a limited number of models exclusively cater to the plus-size market. With this limited choice of models, it can be hard to pick the one you like and want to support without going through hours of scrolling through poorly lit photoshoots on Instagram. 
Plus-size models are often featured in fashion magazines, make-up campaigns, and high-end runway shows. The term plus size very broadly describes women or men who wear clothing sized 12 or above (US sizing) with a waist of over 31 inches. In the fashion industry, the average size of an editorial model is supposed to be a size 12-14. As a result, many models featured in these ads and campaigns tend to have a skinny build, while some have a curvier figure. 
In recent years, the modeling style has drastically changed, with more curvy women being featured in editorials and campaigns instead of super-thin girls. This post will introduce you to 40 of the hottest plus-size models in the fashion industry today.
