'39 Years Old' OKC Dagnalt Named Coach Of The Year by NBA Directors

Oklahoma City Thunder coach Mark Dagnalt (39) was named the coach of the year by coaches for the 2023-24 season.

Daigneault was selected as the Coach of the Year by the National Basketball Coaches Association (NBCA).

Daigneault is 57-25 this season, his fourth season since his managerial debut.

After a fierce competition with last season's champions, the Denver Nuggets, and the Minnesota Timberwolves, they finished first in the Western Conference.

It is drawing more attention because it was achieved by leading the youngest average age 24-year-old squad in league history.

This season, he ranked third in the league with 119.5 offensives and fourth with 112.1 offensives, showing excellent performance in both offense and defense.

The Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City are the only two teams in the league in both categories this season.

With a 143-175 record in four seasons, he improved his team's performance every season, making Oklahoma City the top team in the league.

Under his leadership, Shai Gilgers-Alexander has grown into an all-star player, and Chet Holmgren, the No. 2 overall draft pick in 2022, has also had a successful rookie season.

Dignalt said in a statement, "It is a great honor that my fellow coaches whom I respect and admire chose me as the winner, and I will accept the award with a humble heart. Our team's success this season was possible thanks to talented players with extraordinary competitiveness and dedication. It was a privilege to coach them."

J.B. Bickerstaff, head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chris Finch, head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, head coach of the Boston Celtics, and head coach Jamal Mosley of the Orlando Magic received votes. 토토사이트 추천
