331 trucks returned to Lithuania from Belarus

By midnight from Sunday to Monday, 190 trucks returned through the Myadininkai checkpoint, 141 through the Shalchininkai checkpoint, said Giedryus Mishutis, a representative of the State Border Guard Service.

"It's hard to say how many more Lithuanian trucks are returning, but there are a lot of them: about every fifth or sixth truck entering Lithuania is one that has been released from parking lots."

With the growth of traffic flows, the waiting time at the border is also increasing, he stressed.

"The queues are the same as in recent days. Trucks would have had to wait 5 hours at the Myadininkai border checkpoint this morning, 2 hours at the Shalchininkai, but they are all standing at the waiting area, not on the road. As far as we know, there are queues on the Belarusian side too."
