CHANDLER, AZ – A 3-year-old child was rushed to the hospital after a near-drowning incident in a backyard pool in Chandler on Tuesday afternoon, authorities confirmed.

According to the Chandler Police Department, emergency crews responded to a residence near Ray Road and McQueen Road after reports of a child found unresponsive in a pool. Family members reportedly pulled the toddler from the water and began lifesaving measures before paramedics arrived.

The child was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. As of the latest update, the toddler is stable but remains under medical observation.
