2D Game Artist
Digital nomads. Work from anywhereCompany: not.CGI Studio
URGENT: 7-day paid production sprint. We close the team on Friday, July 24 and deliveries run until July 30. Remote, freelance, immediate start.
We're not.CGI, an independent studio producing handcrafted 2D game art for a long-running client project. For this sprint we need extra hands that can hit a spec exactly: character spritesheets and environment tilesets, top-down and side-scroller, clean production-ready output (fixed frame grids, source files in PSD, SVG or Adobe Illustrator, color overlay, animation GIF where it applies).
STYLES WE'RE HIRING FOR (pick your lane, we want depth, not breadth):
Pixel Art / Vector Art / Hand-drawn / Painterly
PAY
Per approved delivery, volume based, with no cap: the more you deliver during the sprint, the more you earn. The highest output takes the highest pay.
YOU'LL FIT IF YOU:
- Have a portfolio of your own handmade work.
- Have shipped game art before and know what production-ready means: consistent naming, clean output, delivered on time.
- Can follow a strict spec to the letter and commit to a delivery schedule for the whole sprint.
- Are a registered self-employed artist (autonomo in Spain, or local equivalent; we need to invoice properly).
- Communicate in English or Spanish.
YOU WON'T FIT IF:
- You build 2D by rendering 3D models and cleaning them up to look hand-drawn or pixel.
- You mix in Creative Commons or royalty-free assets and ship them as yours.
Not being judgmental; plenty of studios work that way. We just don't.
HOW TO APPLY (one route only, takes 2 minutes):
Through our artist dashboard: https://dashboard.notcgi.es/ (button "Apply as artist"). Include your portfolio URL and pick your specialties (characters or environments, and your styles). We review applications daily during the sprint; selected artists start right away.
