Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can be converted from a single stroller to double stroller with the addition of an additional seat or glider board (sold separately). It can also be set up to create a triple-travel system by adding the bench seat or an infant car seat. In all, it offers 24 configurations and is a top stroller overall. This model is constructed with Baby Jogger's soft and breathable, sustainably sourced TENCEL fabrics. They aid in regulating the temperature. It includes a leatherette handlebar, bumper bar, and belly bar. It is 20% smaller and lighter than the most popular single-to-double stroller available, the UPPAbaby V2.
It has a medium-sized sunshade and a handy magnetic peek-aboo window that is simple to open and close. The telescoping handlebars are one of the easiest to adjust and works for parents of all heights. The seats recline and have a footwell adjustment button to allow you to place your child for maximum comfort. The storage bin is large however we would prefer it had a latch that was more secure. The bin is easy to open, but the zippers can be frustrating because they have to be removed and put back in place after each use.
Like its counterparts, the City Select has single-action brakes that are simple to set and release using the pulling of a lever located on the side of the frame lower than the handlebar. It's sandal and barefoot-friendly and is an improvement over the awkward toe-pinch brake levers that many of the other models use.
This is the only stroller that we have reviewed that can accept two infant seats. It's an excellent choice for parents with twins or an infant on the way. It is compatible with all major brands infant car seats using an adapter. We tested it with Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30 and Graco Click Connect models as well as the Cybex Aton, Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is an excellent alternative for families who already have a car seat, but want a stroller which can accommodate it. However, you might be better served with another convertible stroller in this instance.
