Japanese Regional LeaguesJapanese Regional Leagues (Japanese: 地域リーグ, Hepburn: Chiiki Rīgu) are a group of parallel association football leagues in Japan that are organized on the regional basis. They form the fifth and sixth tier of the Japanese association football league system below the nationwide Japan Football League.

2020 Japanese Regional LeaguesA total of 134 teams competed, split into 9 groups, in the Japanese Regional Leagues, the fifth tier of the Japanese association football league system, in 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, all matches in all regions were changed from double round-robin into single round-robin, except Chūgoku and Tōkai. All regional champions qualified for the Japanese Regional Football Champions League. Like the J.League, there was no relegation in this season to Prefectural Leagues (promotion and relegation between divisions were still available for some regions).
2022 Japanese Regional LeaguesThe 2022 Japanese Regional Leagues (Japanese: 2022 地域リーグ, Hepburn: 2022 Chiiki Rīgu) was the 57th edition of the Japanese Regional Leagues, the fifth tier of the Japanese football league system. As usual, this edition of the Regional Leagues was divided with 84 teams distributed in nine regional leagues. The winners of the first division of each Regional League along with other three between the nine Regional Leagues runners-up (determined by criteria set by the JFA), qualified for the 2022 Japanese Regional Football Champions League. It served as a single-elimination tournament, in which the winner and the runner-up of the competition can also qualify either directly for the Japan Football League (JFL), or by a play-off match with one of the last-placed teams at the JFL table, with the confirmation of how must the winner (and/or runner-up) get promoted to the JFL being made by the league board.
2024 Japanese Regional LeaguesThe 2024 Japanese Regional Leagues (Japanese: 2024 地域リーグ, Hepburn: 2024 Chiiki Rīgu) was the 59th edition of the Japanese Regional Leagues, which comprises the fifth and sixth tier of the Japanese football league system. The winners of the first division of each Regional League, along with the three best-placed teams of the Shakaijin Cup, will qualify for the 2024 Regional Champions League, competing for a spot in the 2025 JFL. Currently, no changes were publicly presented from the 2023 format of JFL promotion.
2025 Japanese Regional LeaguesThe 2025 Japanese Regional Leagues (Japanese: 2025 地域リーグ, Hepburn: 2025 Chiiki Rīgu) is the 60th edition of the Japanese Regional Leagues, which comprises the fifth and sixth tier of the Japanese football league system. The winners of the first division of each Regional League, along with the three best-placed teams of the Shakaijin Cup, will qualify for the 2025 Regional Champions League, competing for a spot in the 2026 JFL. Currently, no changes were publicly presented from the 2024 format of JFL promotion.
