The world was a better place when Saddam Hussein was in power... We have gained nothing from the overthrow of Gaddafi. Look at Libya, look at Iraq. Saddam was not a terrorist – he would have immediately destroyed all the terrorists. Iraq is now a hotbed of terrorism.
I'm not saying he was a good guy–he was a terrible person. But it's still better than what we have now... Libya is destroyed, Iraq is destroyed. To be honest, there is neither Iraq nor Libya today, and no one knows what is going on there...
And in terms of human rights, the situation there is much worse than in the days of Saddam and Gaddafi: people are beheaded and drowned in water... Iraq is a disaster, Libya is a disaster, Syria is a disaster, the whole Middle East! And we are spending billions of dollars in Syria to replace Assad with people we don't even know...
