Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

Components

Each level of an item requires a different number of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets advanced in level.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so.
