The mops use a smart system that cleans along the edges of walls, and around furniture. Miele Scout RX3
Miele is a name synonymous with quality and innovation in the world of robot vac uuming. This new model is designed to elevate the cleaning performance to a whole new level, thanks to its advanced features.
The RX3 features a dual-suction system, intelligent mapping with 3D mapping, and cameras that send an image in real-time to your smartphone. The powerful four-stage cleaning system ensures excellent dust removal on hard and carpet floors, while intuitive side brushes that swing out and dual suction channels remove dust from corners. The 8.5 cm height lets it fit under furniture that is low, and front cameras and infrared sensors help it navigate around obstacles and thresholds with ease.
The Scout RX3 impressed us in our test of how well it cleaned baking powder from corners and baseboards. Its suction power of 2,500Pa was less powerful than other robots, but it moved quickly and was extremely quiet. It didn't mop however, and its removable cleaning pads were fiddly to attach and couldn't cope with dirt that had dried on.
Its app is basic and lacks features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It does work with Alexa, but its voice controls aren't very intuitive or responsive. It's also unreliable when it comes returning to the charging station after a run -- other robots can follow a previous route or sensibly follow a wall around until they get to their home however the RX3 simply bumbles around until it quits and sends a message of failure to your phone.

Another issue we encountered was with its clever features, specifically the mapping function and digital keep-out zones. It was good at keeping our shoes and furniture legs away however it could easily get hanging up on cables, socks, and rugs. We didn't include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. However, with a reasonable price tag and impressive performance, the Scout RX3 is worth considering if you're looking for an alternative to the traditional uprights.
