20 Reasons Why Best Robot Vacuum That Mops Will Never Be Forgotten
The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be a great option for those looking to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. Some models have superior mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other options and makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.
It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into narrow corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and is effective however it's something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively fast.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surface areas. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen odors.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the strength of suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.
This device is expensive but has many smart features. It is important to keep in mind that the device incurs recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.
The robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. These include the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean home with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which is equipped with a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise map of your floorplan, which it uses to determine the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair from pets. robot vacuum reviews was able to capture some of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots have struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some pleasant jingles to inform you that it was beginning and finishing its work.
The app was too easy and you had to alter the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it has some unique features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.
Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.
On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxes.
