The legs slid into place and the zippers were secure for safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put together and did not require any tools. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could transform into a crib. And while it will not feed your baby or magically make them sleep, it will rock them until they go off!

It can be used as either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib that is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with a brand new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.
Our testers were impressed by the ease of use offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one push of a button. This was a huge help during night time feeds because it meant they could reach into and pick up their baby without waking them up.
The side panel can be lifted on its own however it isn't advised as it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will stay down if it is properly attached to the parent's mattress. This feature is great to have peace of mind when you are breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.
Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed including divan bases as well as beds with drawers. cot bedside comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux and a rocking feature to bring them back to sleep after eating. The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to get started. It took us an hour to put together and was surprisingly simple. The only downside was the lack of captions written on a few images, which made it difficult to follow certain steps. Overall, the process was easy and the materials used were of high quality.
