Cassandra Bankson is known best as a YouTube star who regularly offers up beauty tips to her legion of fans. Now, she’s sharing something way more personal. After experiencing ongoing kidney pain, Cassandra went to the doctor last year and discovered that she has two vaginas . Not only that, she also has two wombs and two cervixes.
"When we got the test results back, the doctor said I only had one kidney and flippantly added that I have two vaginas, as she suspected," the 22-year-old model said in a new segment she filmed for Bancroft TV.
Her condition is known as uterus didelphys, and can occur when the uterine system is developing in utero. Here’s how it works: The female reproductive system is fairly symmetrical with two ovaries and two fallopian tubes. The uterus is actually a fusion from either side of the system to create one uterus. Sometimes during development, things can go wrong and two uteruses, two vaginas, and two cervixes can be created.
This condition can manifest itself in a whole variety of ways, says Melissa Goist, M.D., a physician who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and serves as an assistant clinical professor at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center. For example, a woman can have two vaginas, but just one uterus and one cervix. It’s also possible to have what’s called a “unicorn uterus,” where a woman is missing one side of her reproductive system. Goist says she has had six total patients who have had “some sort of duplicate system.”
But how is it possible to not know that you have two vaginas? Wouldn’t that be obvious? Nope, says Jason James, M.D., the chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the Baptist Hospital of Miami.
“It’s not the type of thing that women find out on their own,” he says. “It’s also fairly easy for a gynecologist to miss it.” When you have a double vagina, there’s essentially a septum (like the one in your nose) that separates the vagina in half, he explains. That septum usually divides down the middle but often one of the vaginas develops to become the “dominant passageway” due to tampon use and sex, and the other gets essentially pushed to the side.
“When the gynecologist examines the patient, the speculum more easily goes into the dominant vagina,” he says. If a doctor isn’t paying close attention, James says, he or she could miss a double vagina altogether.
Women who have a duplicate system will typically experience a normal period because their ovaries are on the same cycle, says Goist. However, they may notice that tampons don’t seem to work well since they’re probably only using them in one vagina.
In most cases, it’s actually possible to correct a double vagina, says Susan Lin, M.D., an ob-gyn in San Mateo, California. If a woman’s vagina is simply split in half, for example, the divider can be removed, creating one vagina.
Overall, uterus didelphys is pretty asymptomatic, says James. Some woman may have pain during sex, he says, but typically that’s not a problem.
However, there is a possibility of having difficulty carrying a baby to full term since women with the condition have uteruses that are smaller than a normal uterus. But James says it’s possible to have a healthy pregnancy. (He’s delivered three babies for one of his patients with a double uterus.)
So, while the concept of a double vagina is fascinating, it’s completely possible for a woman with the condition to live a normal life.

A woman in her 20s who has two vaginas (and two uteruses and two cervixes) revealed what it's like to live and have sex with a reproductive system, squared , in a viral Reddit AMA thread that recently made it to the front page. The woman, known as NurseryRN, wrote that she found out she had two vaginas when she was 16 and visited the gynecologist. The condition is so subtle she didn't know she had it just on her own.
To shine some light on what it's like to have sex with a woman who has two vaginas, NurseryRN's boyfriend (twicethefunn) hosted his own AMA as well. Here's a spoiler though: Having two vaginas is apparently not all that different from having just one.
1. She can get pregnant in either uterus. Her uteruses are smaller than normal, but she wrote that doctors told her she can get pregnant in either one.
2. No, she doesn't have two separate holes. Her vagina splits off into two distinct vaginas about an inch inside. When asked if he uses a finger for each vagina during foreplay, twicethefunn wrote , "yes that's how it goes down after an inch of being inside her."
3. She'll have to give birth via C-section. Since she has two uteruses instead of one, natural birth would present too many complications. "My uteri are smaller than normal so I am at risk for miscarriage, intrauterine growth restriction (small babies), and premature babies," NurseryRN wrote.
4. She probably can't get pregnant in both uteruses at the same time. "Due to hormones, that isn't supposed to happen but I've read that it's happened before," NurseryRN wrote. "Apparently a woman had one in one uterus and twins in the other uterus."
5. She still only has one period per month. And although doctors told her to use two tampons at a time, she wrote that she only uses one. "I have two fallopian tubes, one connected to each uterus," NurseryRN wrote. "I menstruate once a month."
6. No, her boyfriend does not have two penises. Although that guy does exist . When asked if he has two penises himself, twicethefunn wrote: "Last time I counted there was just one. But I haven't checked in a while and I'm not very good at counting."
7. Her vaginas are slightly different in size. They're side by side, and the one on the left, she wrote, is smaller than the one on the right.
8. She still has a very healthy sex life. NurseryRN wrote that she can only have clitoral orgasms because the septum that separates her two vaginas covers her G-spot, and since her left vagina is smaller than the one on the right, she prefers to have penetrative sex on the right side because it's less painful. But otherwise, she's got a good sex life.
9. You wouldn't know she has two vaginas from just looking at her. The external part of her vulva looks just like someone who has only one vagina, one uterus, and one cervix.
10. Her partner doesn't really notice it when they have sex. Once he's an inch in and has diverted into one of her vaginas, it's like having sex with someone who has one vagina. And as he wrote, all vaginas are different anyway.

An Australian woman has gone viral on OnlyFans after fans and subscribers discovered her interesting and unique biological trait: she has two vaginas!
Evelyn Miller , a 30-year-old from Queensland, reportedly learned that she had what’s called “uterus didelphys” during a doctor’s visit more than a decade ago. According to the Mayo Clinic , that very rare condition occurs when the two small tubes that make up the uterus in a fetus fail to fuse together prior to childbirth and instead remain separate, creating two tubes that don’t join completely.
Several years after Miller was told of her condition, and following a failed relationship, she started working as an escort. In her sex work, she found that it was easier for her mentally to quite literally separate business and pleasure, if you will. Physically, she found it “handy for endurance,” too. Wow!!
As she explained in an interview with Australian media, escorting work eventually led to an opportunity with OnlyFans — where she’s become a big star! Miller said:
“”When I got into a relationship it was better for me to separate the two — to use one vagina for work and one for personal life, which made the work a lot easier emotionally and physically for me. After I quit this, I started OnlyFans, filming adult content with both vaginas — and it’s been very, very successful.”
Good for her! Get paid, girl! She explained more about her experience in sex work with her rare condition, saying:
“To me it’s my normal and I never really thought it was that intriguing, but apparently it’s very intriguing. I guess not many people can say they use one vagina for work and one for personal life. Throughout her work escorting, she found that clients were “mind blown” with her anatomy, explaining:
“Some clients I will tell and they don’t believe me at first until I show them and then they’re completely mind blown. I had a couple of clients find out — one was a gynecologist and he was able to feel the difference and he then turned it into a medical exam.”
Miller, who the outlet reports also owns an advertising business, found viral success on OnlyFans, where paying subscribers have been interested in seeing her:

And now, Miller has a child — and is pregnant with her second one! Back while pregnant with her first child last year, the former escort explained:
“I’ve had so much more intrigue than I thought — people have just been completely taken back by it. After I got pregnant I thought I’d talk about it more because the condition won’t affect me having a child — so I don’t really hate it. If I’d had complications I probably wouldn’t have been so open about it.”
