I have been subscribed to a streamer for a year now. Until today I had a chat badge thats his subscriber logo, but today it became a "1st" logo that when hovered over says "Founder, 12 month subscriber". Neither the streamer or me know why it changed. Is this something special? Just confused as to what it is.
first 25 subs to partnered streamers or first 10 subs to affiliate get it
Not to mention they appear to have been awarded to people who are actually banned on the channel they were awarded for......
lol that´s the twitch I know, I saw it in my stream today as well when I wanted to raid and was super confused by what that even meant...then I was pissed because twitch would have a thousand other actually important things to make better instead of this...well whatever
Yeah this founders-badge is messing with my sub-only commands and songrequest I think.. the people with the foundersbadge suddenly can't do those things anymore. If I change the permission on songrequest and the sub-only commands to 'everyone' then they can do it..
I like it, but i'd like a couple changes
Please let us toggle it off... I like the badge, but it replaces the sub badge and sometimes i'd like to have a normal sub badge instead of this one.
Wouldnt it be neater if instead of giving everyone the "1st" badge, give them the number they are instead? So the very first sub gets the 1st, 2nd sub gets a 2nd badge etc. I can understand if they wont do this though, since subbing shouldnt be a "competition" so to speak, but it would make the badge more exclusive and unique if everyone got their own
It can be turned off in your Privacy and Security settings, but it turns it off for all channels.
I still think that’s kinda weird. It should be like a day one sub badge.
You could have a 5 year daily viewer who gets in the channel late after work the day the streamer gets their button...meanwhile a first time viewer could sub just to nab a badge.
What I found it is for the first few (maybe 5) subs it looks like. I have it on multiple channels, where Im in the top5 subs. So it looks like a top5 sub special badge. But I see no announcement about it. Probably Twitch employer just fucked up something? Not sure.
Edit: Am-I-Dead-Yet said someone has this who is not top5 sub.

Pretty neat. I have it on 2 channels that I knew I was within the first 10 (both Affiliates).
funny tho that twitch is rolling this badge also for banned channels. i got the founders message today for a channel that is banned for almost 2 years now.
I got a notification about this too, on a channel that I have never heard of, never followed them or anything.
Just the first 5 is stingy, at least first 50.
